The female staff really is great and I feel bad for them because! The men's locker room is possibly the most disgusting place you could visit in the reno area. Straight Nightmare fuel. Cold, slimy, wet, broken, smelly everything, and zero locker room etiquette to be found. Somehow, it has attracted the most obnoxious and most disgusting humans in the area.
I used to use this place 4-5 days a week, but I couldn't stomach the locker rooms or large portions of the clientele in it any longer. It really can ruin your mood for the day. After being boosted from the workout, you are dragged down pretty low just walking into the locker room. Many times, I just couldn't do it and would get in the vehicle still sweaty rather than deal with the locker room. At times, the locker room becomes the gross hang out of some not so wonderful people blasting their tik tok at full Volume and yelling over eachothers phones to have some true brainrot conversation and just hanging out. Sometimes for hours. I've done 2 hour sessions and still see the same people just holding down the locker room still on their phones, still clowning.
And if you think I'm talking of just teenagers, you're wrong. There's definitely more than a few loser thug types who "run together" here. The gym itself is ok. Most of the stuff works and I do want to stress that the female staff here is great. If you use this place, be nice to them, I'm sure they understand what it is and are just trying to work a job and get by. But yeah, avoid the locker room, especially sinks, toilets, and showers and maybe just avoid it entirely between noon...
Read moreWell let's start with a lil backstory. Being on a Medicare Advantage plan, like many, allows me to to, for free, participate with a program called Silver and Fit. This program allows me in Gym or online programs. I picked a Gym after months of not following any at home plan I would begin. A lot of my procrastination came from I couldn't be sure I was doing anything right. Yes it shows me how but why does it feel so wrong etc. So I decided use the Go To Gym option so someone could at least show me how to do something or use something correctly. I signed up through program with an employee and it was super easy and he was very friendly. However, they have zero trainers as they are hiring. Zero. When asked about how would I know how to use something, the response was "there some workers around you could see if they know or just try to figure it out yourself." Wow. So that was a week ago and I have not gone back cause.... Well I guess I will call and see if they hired anyone yet. You are taking in Silver and Fit so it was expected their would be on-site trainers or at least people onsite who know what is safe or not safe to do. Come on,...
Read moreReasons I've cancelled my 'black card' membership today: After almost a year, I recently found out that the Muscle Milks I have been buying with my club card do not get the '1/2 price discount'. Something wrong with the tanning experience every time I tried it ~ dirty bed, nowhere to hang your clothes, out of cleaning supplies, too long of a line, new bulbs burn you, etc. Remodel let me down ~ still under construction months later, no longer a minimum traffic/quiet yoga corner in the back, machines are now too close together (like other strip-mall gyms), HID lighting still burns out your eyes on lay down machines, and we are no longer allowed to bring our bicycles inside... Oh, you are cancelling a 'black card' membership? There's a $58 cancellation fee for that. Great people but the rest...
