I've been going to this restaurant since they opened. I don't eat here often. Generally, food is good, atmosphere is great, and staff/servers are okay. This time around, I felt I was rudely misunderstood and staff made decisions for me. When you walk in you are almost always seated right away. As I sat, i looked at the AYCE menu and started to jot down my food. My server took my drink order and appetizer order. It took her about 20minutes to check back with me and my order. Once she did, she had said: "Are you sure you're going to eat all of this?" I replied "Yes, I will" She rebuttled "Because we charge you for every uneaten item" A little annoyed I replied with "I understand" I do understand that I will be charged, but isn't that the responsibility of the customer? I'll pay if I have to. As I continued my experience. She brought out my appetizers and I started to dig in. I finished not too long after. I waited another 20minutes (which does not include the time from when she took my order sheet to the time I finished my appetizers) to finally get my order. As I finally got my order, I started to eat. She was nice enough to make sure my water was filled. She never once asked me how the food was. I'm about 3/4 into finishing my food and I notice there are a few missing from what I ordered. She came back and said "Are you done?" I replied "No I'm still eating" She said "Are you going to order more?" Again, irritated I explained "No, but is there more coming?" She laughed and I was confused but said "So you do want to order more?" I'm pretty livid at this point "No I'm asking if there more coming from my original order." She said "No we had cancelled the rest because I noticed you ordered a lot" I was livid! First off, I wasn't even full yet. Second, why would you cancel a customer's order? Third, who are you to judge? I've never been treated like this before. Also one of my rolls had foil in it. I literally spit the rest of my sushi out of my mouth into a napkin. (You can see it in the photo attached) Frankly, after this experience I don't know if I do want to come back. If I wrote a review before, I would've at least given them 3 stars. The only reason why I gave two is due to atmosphere and the decent food. You best believe I will say something to them before I leave. You are all more then welcome to try this place but this was my past experience.

If you like Western fusion sushi, then read on. If not, skip to second paragraph. The vast majority of the patrons of Ijji Sushi we're partaking of the AYCE option for sushi. I saw platters of pleasing-to-the-eye sushi rolls. There are a plethora of veggie, fruit, dairy products, seafood and meat mixture rolls. Practically anything you can mix together into a sushi roll. I saw very little nigiri sushi and sashimi sushi. The wife tried an "Anita Roll" which was a shrimp tempura with tuna and avocado slices. She enjoyed it immensely. If you are more of a traditionalist, stay far away from this place. I ordered some basic nigiri sushi (tomago and inari) and a bento combo just to get a variety of the fare offered. I found that Ijji Sushi uses plain white rice for sushi. No vinegar, kombu or sugar. They cut the Inari pocket in half to get two small Inari sushi. The tomago is prepared like a regular omelet and tastes like one. The tempura appeared to have been dipped in fish and chip batter. It had a very heavy coating. The dipping sauce for the chicken was straight up A-1 sauce. I asked the wife to taste and she confirmed. The short grain rice served with the bento was dry as sand. I was honestly very disappointed. So if you enjoy westernized maki sushi. Then this place is fantastic. I witnessed a lot of the patrons tonight completely loving the sushi rolls. Seeing how much they enjoyed their meals, I would give Ijji Sushi a 4.5. If you are more of a traditionalist, then it would be a 1.

I intentionally makes a pictures of empty plates, indicates how tasty was everything, nothing were left unlike the most of buffets! From the start it was easy and nice experience. We called and Manager quickly calculate full price for two adults and 3 kids with taxes. We came and find it’s no food remains policy here. It’s not like self serving buffet where people think it’s tasty but not actually and they left plenty of food. Ijji sushi brings you dishes until you able to eat all. From all choices it was nothing that was not tasty, slightly rotten/not fresh. All choices are good and tasty. Kids and we are all was happy with this family lunch. It was almost empty in the morning! Other places were overcrowded and I am personally surprised , why? Ice cream is not just tasty but extremely delicious! Some cake sushi is a chedever of culinary ART! I am more than impressed with this place.

I've been here several times and generally the experience is decent. I was excited to bring my family, as had been telling them about it for over a year. We got there and it was packed but we were seated quickly. It took our server a while to get to us but we were patient. We placed our order for appetizers and water and again, we had to be patient. No problem. It was busy. When she returned she brought only 2 of the five soups because they were out of bowls. Okay... We chuckled and again we were patient and moved in to something else. Typically we're in and out of a sushi restaurant within an hour and a half tops. There are 8 in our family and we have it down to a science. We don't like to linger and we want to eat and get out of the way. Well, let's just say by no choice of our own we were here for three hours. We would order and it would take at least 30 minutes to get food. The kitchen was probably behind because of the busy day, but then there were items that would just NOT come out at all. Simple things like appetizers, which was all two of the group wanted to eat. We literally ordered a Kyoto and Moon Dog Star three times and when we asked our server if they were coming she just shrugged her shoulders. Was she not putting the orders in? At one point we had ordered multiple times and been waiting for our food for over 35 minutes but when called over she told us nothing more was coming. What?! So we decided to pay our bill of over $200 and leave, as we were obviously not being served anymore. It was outrageous.

I'm addition we kept being served the wrong rolls. It didn't help that none of the servers could tell us which roll was which, so that added to the fun matching game we were playing with our food and the menu.

Overall the food was good but we won't be visiting again because I refuse to spend my hard earned money on all you can eat sushi that's not really all you can eat. It appears the restaurant dictates how much they'll serve you and when they're done they ignore you...

I recently had a dismal experience that left me thoroughly disappointed. I arrived and told them I can’t eat rice and asked about sashimi. They informed me I could order a set amount of sashimi pieces at a higher price than all you can eat. I asked if it was a large amount and how many pieces. The waitress told me it was a “small” plate and that the pieces were “tiny.” I asked if I could get the all you can eat without rice. She told me I could.

I was sitting at the counter, ordered all you can eat nigiri without rice, it was made by the chef, no problem but had a small amount of rice (smaller than the person next to me). After that first order the waitress comes back over and said I couldn't order more nigiri until I finished every grain of rice from my first plate. I asked for clarification and was told I’m not allowed to order or eat anything more until my rice is finished. I asked to speak to the manager for clarification and she decided to start our conversation off incredibly rude to the point that once she left nearby customers even stated she was rude to me.

Despite my willingness to pay extra to bypass this bizarre restriction, the manager insisted, in the notably rude manner, that I either consume all the rice or forfeit my right to order more.

This childish enforcement of a policy not disclosed upfront ruined what should have been a simple, enjoyable dining experience. The manager's abrupt and unprofessional attitude only compounded my frustration. I won't be returning to this sushi spot, as their customer service and handling of their "all-you-can-eat" offer left much...
