Went yesterday to request that anymore of my packages be held for me to pickup and they didn’t do nothing, spoke directly to the supervisor plus filled out the hold sheet, I been having multiple items being damaged and lost by the driver here in st onge, rather than actually delivering it he chooses to just toss it on the ground by the mailbox and to which a $650 special camera in it at that, this is how this post office treats your mail and or packages, I had requested a couple very fragile items be held today for pickup and when I checked this morning low and behold all three are out for delivery, complete waste of time to talk with anyone at the spearfish location The new pic reflects yet another so called delivery as of 3/6/23 where he just pulled up and tossed it in the snow, there was a $1000 special camera for a DJI drone within it and also the box was crushed in, this has been going on for months now where the driver has disregarded the carefully handling of peoples parcels by covering up with lies of some dog that does not exists preventing him to actually deliver, another excuse is my house is to far away, their policy is 1/2 mile to which my house is 501.3ft to saint onge road, spearfish post office and the lack of service is far past even being a one star at best and the route supervisor is the most disrespectful person I’ve...
Read moreWent in there due to a change of address because of flooding at the end of June 2023, had the online portion done prior and just needed the address verification in person. Woman behind the counter decided to wake up and choose violence towards the patrons (metaphorically, of course), immediately condescending to the various patrons, using the excuse of being new to not help customers, told some very well behaved children in front of me to be quiet in such a rude manner, then lied to her supervisor about helping my family. She finally did her job and ended the conversation with "is [family member] related to you?" to which I replied yes, then she said "I'm so sorry for you."
I have a pretty high tolerance for snark, I've worked in customer service, I've encountered terrible patrons, but nobody did anything to justify the barrage of rude and condescending remarks which came...
Read moreJust had a rep named Mike at this location who was incredibly condescending and disrespectful. I was mailing two letters with no return address (as it's not legally required) and I wasn't expecting any return mail. He claimed that "every piece of mail we touch has to have a return address." When I asked why mail like junk mail can be sent to me without a return address, he claimed that "well we don't touch junk mail so that's okay." I then asked for the postmaster information and accidentally said postmaster general. He then decided to laugh at me while correcting me and then only gave me her name, Ashley. I have already filed an escalated complaint with the USPS, I will be calling Ashley on Monday and I also plan on filing a complaint with the USPS Office of Inspector General (OIG) if this is not resolved.
