Taco Bell — Restaurant in Spearfish

We are from out of town and the Taco Bell locations where we are from don’t carry the Chili Cheese Burrito. So, I was excited to get one here in Spearfish. Here’s the situation: my 12 year old daughter wanted some nacho fries and I wanted another chili cheese burrito. They told her they were out of nacho fries, so she just ordered my burrito and gave the cashier her name for the order and told him we were dining in. About 15 minutes goes by and a female worker puts a bag on the counter and yells out “CASSANDRA!”(my daughter’s name isn’t Cassandra, and we ordered dine in, so it would have came on a tray and not in a bag) Although they were busy, 28 minutes had gone by since she ordered, so my daughter went up to politely tell the cashier that we still haven’t received our singular burrito. The cashier apologized and asked another worker to make the burrito… that’s when the female worker came over to the counter with an attitude and said “This is your burrito, hun!” And picked up and forced Cassandra’s to-go burrito toward my daughter…. It wasn’t our burrito, and by this point it had been sitting on the counter for a good 15 minutes…. And she had the biggest attitude with a TWELVE year...

There was so many people who went through the drive-through and they came back into get their orders fixed and then I witnessed a little old man standing by the counter not one person talk to him for a good 20 minutes. He was still waiting on his food, so I helped him by yelling at the manager because I knew his name and I asked him to help this little old man and then they look super irritated about it and then finally they just slung him his food like they don’t give any care about it And then I helped him to his vehicle because he was probably 80 years old and had one bag of food and then he had to carry his drinks so I carried his drinks for him. My food on the other hand, every single taco shell is broken and the dude working the front till taking orders makes you feel like you’re about to have an anxiety attack because this dude has such an off vibe. If anything, if they just maybe put a smile on their face and act like they give a crap about their customers that would be...

My order total came out to $17.05. I gave the cashier $20.00. He asked me if I had .05 cent's, explaining he had no change in his register. I did not have any change and explained that to him. He proceeded to stumble on his words, giving me no options but to come up with .05 cent's. At first I was going to go to my car and see if I couldn't hunt down .05 cent's. But then I realized that if a place of business is going to make it that difficult to eat at their establishment, I was not going to be spending my money there. It's not about the .05 cent's. It's about me having the money, but not being able to get change back unless I jumped through hoops to find .05 cents. If an establishment is not going to carry the appropriate change needed for it's customers you have two option's. Eat the .05 cent's or loose business. They chose to loose business in this case.
