Took my granddaughter to check the store out and purchase some cards. We arrived a little early we waiting for the shop to open. 10 minutes after the time listed the guy finally arrives to open the shop. Us along with two or three other customers entered the shop. The guy that opened the shop was short and was obviously flustered. After the first customer was taken care of I asked about cards and got a short rude answer. I asked him how much time he needed to get up and running and we would just go wait in the car in which he responded with a I dont know I wasn't expecting a crowd. Me and my granddaughter left and as we were getting in the car a guy who was obviously either a friend or regular come walking out with three boxes of product. We were told he couldn't even take payments an that point. We left and will never go back. If youre going to be a business owner or employee of a game shop show up prior to opening time and get your business in order and treat all your customers with a little respect. This is a prime example of elitism that scares new comers to gaming away. Hands down the worst interaction with any game stores ive had in 45 years of...
Read moreDirect damage is a great local shop here im Spokane Valley. I have started coming in for cards regularly. My first stop-in the owner asked if I was there to play in the league going on that day, I said no as I was on a short time window. He waived the sign-ups fee and let me play until I had to leave. Now I have a place to play every week should I choose! Great guy.
I'll admit the order system (only placing online during pandemic) was a little off-putting initially as I was used to just being able to buy In-store and shop with a clerk's assistance. That said, after placing an online order and choosing to pick up in store I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the experience was. They have a very good inventory system and website online. Buying and picking up cards was incredibly easy.
Top notch customer service and interaction from staff members! Keep in mind that some game players are pushy, rude or even aggressive when it comes to their game of choice. Demonstrate some humanity with the owner, and I guarantee you'll have a...
Read moreI’ve been only the one time, can’t say it was a great experience. The store was rather small and cluttered, but that almost benefits this kind of hobby store as much more catches the eyes. The issue we had was that the service was pretty poor. We came in looking to see what was in stock for magic the gathering products and the clerk made a fuss about us “not using the website” and seemed apathetic. He may have just been having a bad day but either way we both vowed not to come back since we both didn’t care for the service we got. Far from the worst, but won’t...
