There is no better place to eat at than Mickey D's, except Thrifty Scotsman...they have really good tasty food. I had a cheeseburger, water, and fries. The fries are delicious and rectangle in shape. The indoor is unique to say the least but the outside is ghetto, there are old school arcade games; "Pacman", for serious! The wall decor is like, ...ooOOoo...nuts! On one side of the window you can see a closed sad old run down nightclub called the "Blue Dolphin🐬"...it helps this neighborhood look real ghetto! I digress...I left as soon as kids showed up b/c the parents didn't train them to have indoor voices, the place is too small for that. However, if you can catch a meal when they are slow, it's so peaceful. The menu on paper has no prices - I usually run until I can see no black top when there are no prices but the food is insane so this time I can't run. The menu at the counter does have prices and it isn't cheap anymore...BUT THE FOOD, THE FOOD, IT'S SO GOOD!

Don't overlook this local favorite! In the mood for just a good burger and fries that don't leave you unsatisfied like the fast food places do? You've found it! There is ample seating, although choose wisely as some seats are directly under the air conditioning ducts. They also have a couple fun vintage arcade games! Something to take note of, the restrooms are down a flight of stairs to the basement so if you are handicapped or impaired, be sure to relieve yourself before arriving. This place has been running for many years and some locals have come here since a child. I was politely greeted as I entered. It's a simple and straight forward menu and specials change daily. I had a bacon double cheeseburger and fries along with a butterscotch shake. Don't skip getting a shake, SO worth it! The portions are big and everything was hot and tasted great! I try to stop whenever I'm in town.

This is my go to burger place. The food is really good here. I love that the meat is real and fresh. They also peel and cut real potatoes for the fries. All the food here is fresh. They flavor is really good. We always get bacon cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and fries. The burgers are juicy and flavorful. The Tenders are seasoned good and crispy. The fries are crispy plus soft. Their fry sauce is good too. Their shakes are also good. The portions are big and it's pretty cheap too. They are always busy and packed but the food comes out fast. We always bcall in our order and it's ready within 15 minutes. You can dine in, take out, or use the drive through.

We have been going here for a while now and have always been happy with service and quality. This time unfortunately got our order to go because of the weather. Ordered a super bacon with extra bacon a thrifty burger and a fried and some drinks. Was told by the cashier that they got our sauces we asked for which they did. And the extra bacon was in the bottom of the bag which I thought was weird since I wanted it on my burger but said ok because I could just add it. Went home guess what? No extra bacon on burger or in the bag. Called the restraunt to ask for a refund only on the item I paid for and didn't get. The girl that answered didn't seem like she knew how to handle it and asked the cook who I could here swearing he put it on my burger in the background. She said that it was on there and that I could bring the sandwich back and they could remake it. I wasn't about to drive through the snow storm to get a refund. I hope the owner or manager sees this and can get ahold of me. The fact that these thieves can't even refund items they didn't give me or at least offer any time of solution astounds me. Then they hung up on me. I hope the 1.55+ tax was worth stealing from me and losing 2 long time customers. If you go here try not to modify anything I think it's too hard for the cook...

I posted about this restaurant about 2 years ago and gave a 5star review and thought to add an update as they have gone downhill since then. The quality of food has gone down, their female cook is a tyrant yelling at customers and workers from the kitchen area, due to a mistake that they made on your order. My dad went in on 6/4/25 and advised them that they gave him fries instead of onion rings and that the fish looks a bit over cooked. The cook that night yelled into the lobby that the fish was not over cooked and that they would not throw it away. My dad did not ask them to do that, he just let them know it looked over cooked and he would like his onion rings he ordered. Never in the past 6 plus years have we ever been treated like that by this restaurant. We did frequent thrifty's alot and have taken people there from out of town to dine in or get take out. Our business may not be missed ,my only ask is that they either retrain their female cook or get a new one, that is no way to speak to anyone especially when it was the cooks mistake that caused the issue. All other staff have been great. I don't need to announce that we will never come back as this post should be enough. It used to be a great place to get good food but has changed and not...

I hate to leave a bad review for a local business, but the treatment received is worth warning. They messed up on 1 item in my takeout order and said they would remake it after I had waited 10min already. After another 15 mins standing there holding my food, I got into line to ask for a refund. Once at the register asking for the refund, they said oh here is the rest of your order. I said well the 2 bags im holding are now cold and I've already been here 25mins. I asked why 6 other orders of the item I was waiting for went out before correcting the error for me. They said that's how we do things here. So in summary, they messed up (which happens), then they said we will fix it right away, then they put my messed up order at the back of the line, make me wait another 15mins while holding my other food, then question why I'm asking for a refund? If you mess something up that's ok, but you don't punish the customer you messed up the order on by making them eat cold food and putting the rest of the order at the back of the line. We drove from state line just for thrifty but won't make that mistake again. The adult making the food didn't seem to care or even try to make things right except by yelling at the staff. So she knew they messed up but didn't remedy...
