Sports Creel — Local services in Spokane Valley

I cannot recommend Sports Creel enough! If you look at all the reviews, Creel doesn't necessarily need another 5 star review to convince you to go there, but I am writing this in case it helps novice or first time skiers. I recently started skiing two years ago and, despite Creel being recommended to me by a local friend, I was scared to go to a "real" ski shop since I wasn't very knowledgable myself and I was worried about being upsold on products I didn't need (or told I needed the "most expensive" this or that) or possibly looking like an idiot. I am here to tell you that no matter what your ski level or knowledge level, you can walk into this shop and be treated like family with kindness and patience. And no, you will not be upsold on things you don't need (in fact, even on the highest quality/advanced gear, they have the best prices!). It was clear from my first time there, they are committed to YOU and your unique situation and finding what is going to be best for where you at (whether it's your budget, your ski level, etc.). My husband and I recently got boots and skis here and we've asked a gazillion questions, gone back in a few times fine tuning fit and just to chat, etc. and their patience and level of customer service and care is legendary. If you want to be successful at skiing, don't make the same mistake I did and skip this step of working with a knowledgable boot and ski fitter. They've taken my skiing to the next level....

My husband and I visited Sports Creel for the first time this fall based on reviews of the amazing service, the incredibly knowledgeable staff, and the product options in store. I will say that we were blown away! The reputation for excellence holds up 100%

Upon arriving in the store, I entered my information into the computer system in a nicely streamlined manner and then the staff found me once it was my turn. I waited a maximum of ten minutes on a very busy day when the shop was full of customers. I spent the few minutes roaming the store and being impressed by the equipment options. When I was led by a staff member to a boot fitting area, I was greeted by another staff member who was dedicated to helping me while in the store. Lynn was amazing and really knows her stuff! She asked me about my ski experience, where and what I ski, and what I’m looking for. I got to stand on a cool scanning tool that scanned my foot and gave to a of useful information, which Lynn interpreted for me and used to craft the ultimate fitting experience. She spent time combing through the store options for boots that fit my specifications and wishes, and when she brought them back to the comfortable seating, she got me properly fitted and asked questions about the two options we were considering. She made me feel comfortable and understood.

I've never enjoyed the yearly stress of buying my family's ski gear; never really knowing if we were getting the best equipment for our differing skill levels etc, especially when we used to go to the Ski Swap every year. Sports Creel, on the other hand, is a place we absolutely LOVE to shop. This family knows their stuff! I always know we are getting the best deal for our gear, and the amount of time the staff spends with each of us individually to make sure everything fits PERFECTLY is absolutely amazing!!! Herb, Lynn, Micah and TJ (and everyone else there who I haven't gotten names, but they are all equally amazing!) go out of their way to make you feel comfortable (even if you don't exactly know what you're talking about) and give you an extra amount of time and absolutely fabulous customer service. They treat everyone like family. They are always up-front on pricing and on time-lines to get your gear fitted, repaired, or maintained. I cannot say enough good stuff about Sports Creel, their store and employees are phenomenal. AND! They do their own Ski Swap every day of the year! They do trade-ins which is particularly awesome for our kids, last year's gear gives us an amazing credit towards this year's gear.
