We had an outstanding experience at Walkers Furniture in Spokane Valley. Wow. We worked with Susan at the store, and she went beyond customer service. She was kind, friendly, honest, sincere, and helpful beyond just trying to sell us a recliner. My mother was in need of a recliner because she had broken both her foot and shoulder and mobility was suddenly a major issue. The doctor had recommended a recliner and we needed one right away (neither my mom nor my family own a recliner). Immediately when we started looking at the power recliners Susan went to check that the potential models would be available right away at the warehouse. We chose the perfect chair (we had tried many at several stores, and my mom had been looking for a recliner for several years already but never found one she liked, so this was a big deal). Unfortunately the one Susan had seen as "in stock" was already reserved. Susan was sincerely upset for us. She then went above and beyond to try and make sure if one came available she would snag it for us right away. When we left the store we had not put any money down to reserve a future shipment in the hopes we could find another option available sooner. Susan continued to be a squeaky wheel trying to get that chair for us. We called back the next day after trying our options and reserved the recliner that wouldn't be available for a couple of weeks because it was so perfect for my mom. We resigned ourselves to make do the best we could until then. Susan called us the very next day; she had managed to pull a chair that was earmarked for another store and make it available to us instead. It was available immediately if we could pick it up or Tuesday for delivery. My husband and I immediately went to the warehouse but were concerned that we would not be able to manage the recliner or fit it in our minivan as it was about 200 lbs and one piece. We asked if there was any way we could get it delivered sooner. The staff there did not hesitate at all but had the attitude of "how can we make this happen?" Fantastic people. The chair was delivered within 2 HOURS. Could not be happier with the service, and it has made a world of difference for my...
Read moreBy far the worst Customer Service I have experienced in my 38 years on this Earth. The sales team is great. The delivery experience, wow....my first go-around they were 3 hours late for their 2 hour window. Never called me to tell me they were running late. I called the store several times and was told that they were on their way. Keep waiting.
When they finally arrived, they claimed that the hardware was not in the box. For either bed. Shipped from different manufacturers. What statistically are the odds of that? On a Saturday night...? With 2 teen drivers that clearly had more fun things to do later than assemble my furniture.
They never called to follow up. You don’t write, you don’t call..I’m starting to take this personally Walkers. I finally stalk them down and am told they will be there that day with the hardware to assemble my furniture. After their 1-3 delivery window. 7:40 rolls around. And they call. Lost. They show up after 8 with the parts for 1 bed. It’s kinda past bedtime for my kid so I requested that they leave the hardware and I will assemble it myself. They claim they will call me about the hardware for my other bed. NOPE!!! Joke is on me. Again.
When I finally call them again later that week, they sent their delivery crew out that day and they did assemble my one bed that we hadn’t already assembled ourselves. I was assured that I would be refunded my delivery fee. Still waiting. Weird. Must be on the same delivery schedule as my beds.
This may not seem like a big deal, but these were key components to my new home and really held me up in disarray for quite a while. If you ever HAVE to buy from Walkers, pick it up yourself. Save yourself 10+ hours sitting around waiting for their delivery service that you paid...
Read moreWe bought our livingroom furniture at the store on Boone. About 2 weeks before Christmas, I went back in to find a set of vases my husband loved. I could not find them in the store and was advised to try calling when the buyer was in. Phoned the next day, spoke with her, and agreed to come in and speak with her. She could not find what I was looking for and without an item number, she said there was nothing she could do. I decided to try the Spokane Valley Walker's. A salesman came up and asked if he could help. He thought he knew what I was talking about, and we walked around the store looking for the vases. They weren't there either. I was about to leave, when this man asked if I had some extra time. Because he said he was not going to stop trying to find me this gift for my husband and it could take awhile. He said they carry so many vases and accessories, and it could be a good hour. WOW I said I had all the time in the world. So I sat as this man went through pages of vases. After about 45 minutes, he said he thought he found them. He printed out a piece of paper and I wasn't even sure if it was the right ones (black and white pics). Nick, said he believed it was what I was looking for, and I guess I believed him. So he ordered them. He was right. Next time I need something, I will be taking the extra drive out to Spokane Valley. Customer service like this, is not often seen any longer, and it is worth the...
