First off I bought a brand-new queen bed here in late February, so I've spent money here ... a lot!
Yesterday after getting off work I went in here. It was pouring out, so I and everyone else walking in was soaked.
Two of the rehab employees came up to me and asked me if my messenger bag was a backpack. I said "no, it's a bag". They then said if I didn't give it to them to put on the FLOOR by the counter, I would have to leave!
I said "I come in here a lot. I'm NOT SHOPLIFTING. I have money. Leave me alone."
So both of the rehab employees (who were supposed to be running the cash registers) disappeared into the back to complain to their supervisor.
I found one shirt I liked, there was nothing else in there I wanted, and went to the front counter to PAY. Where I then waited and waited until someone wandered up to run the register.
Congratulations Salvation Army! You successfully lost a paying customer thanks to your moronic policy.
Listen, if you're running a THRIFT STORE and you can't handle the cost-of-doing-business from occasional shoplifters, you're in the wrong business!!!
I'll NEVER shop in here again. And I have 10 lady friends who all hit thrift stores every weekend. I'm making sure NONE of them ever visit your store again.
If the requirement for shopping here is to have my bag (which had my WALLET, MY SMART PHONE, and a TABLET in it) laying on the floor where your dumb employees can walk on it and break everything in it, I'LL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Read moreI found a belt here I was planning on using for a craft project. The belt was cracked at the ends and small, but it would work for what I am making. When I went up to pay for it your cashier accused me of taking the tag off and putting a discount tag on it. Instead of checking the price or just putting on another price tag he took the belt away from me and put it behind the counter and said he couldn't sell it to me because the price tag was dirty on the back. When we were looking at items in the store a lot of them had no price tag or messed up price tags. It looks like a lot of tweakers hang around and shop at this store. There were two tweakers having a fist fight outside while we were shopping and the cashiers just ignored it. The same cashier that we had was complaining earlier that some customer that came in was trying to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. Just because some people that shop there do things that are wrong doesn't mean they need to treat everyone like they are up to something. This was my first time shopping at this store and it will be my last. Congrats Salvation Army you have just lost a paying customer and...
Read moreWhile I appreciate what this store provides for the community and it's services, it has certainly gone through alot of changes. It continues to be one of my regular thrift store stops. The prices are low and they have a large selection of things to choose from. Lots of Mid Century decor and collectables at a great price. They have also upgraded to a new loyalty program which you can acquire points to take a certain percentage off. I used to shop here almost daily. I find myself going less often, due to being a bargain hunter and the new system does not provide as many discounts. Enough to keep me coming...
