My wife and I decided to go to this church. I went to the church. Maybe three times this the third time I went with my wife. It seemed okay, but a lack of inspiration and respect, i've been going to churches for 45 years. I've been to southern baptist baptists so many churches I couldn't count. This is the first experience. When you separate communion, you're separating Jesus when I was watching communion. I stepped a foot out to go and get communion. In some power tripping, immature little boy put his hand across my chest and embarrass me by saying no, don't go like then I say, why are you making such a big deal out of me walking toward communion and he said you're not a member? Wow, it's so important he goes. He threatens me and goes. I want to talk to you in the hallway. You got it. You got it. Can you imagine a church threatening a person that's been in the church? 3 times and he goes. I wanna talk to you in the back room away. You talk to me, you hear me. You gotta learn a lesson. This is what kind of behavior I got out of this church. How dare you? How dare you disrespect an elder? I do not recommend this church to anybody unless you're insane that day. When the church was service was over. The a Greek orthodox preacher confronts me in the hallway. With my wife and he asked me. Are you a trouble? Are you creating trouble here? Trouble? You're the most unprofessional group of morons I've ever dealt with that week later. I went to another church somewhat like this, but it had integrity. Respect to the people that come in their doors. There's no respect the church smell 2. It needs a wash and a clean. It really needs a baptism. No, i'm not gonna burn in hell pastor but you really improve respecting. Elderleys, little boy shouldn't be talking to me like that again. I will never come to your church ever. My wife was upset about what you did to. O, by confronting me and questioning me like a cop. I'm an acceptable. Do not go to this church. It'll embarrass you if you don't know the walk. What walk how to get to heaven bye i found a great church. If you want it, I'll give you my email this. The church i'm going...
Read moreDrove 2 hours to attend the 89th Annual Greek Festival at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Spokane, WA. Our first time. Regularly attended Greek Festivals in New Jersey, Chicago and Las Vegas. This was the last day of the Festival and it was very busy. Line to order food stretched a half block and took about an hour to navigate. Pastries, Greek Deli, Coffee and other beverages were served inside the church. Music was piped in and young children did some traditional Greek dances. After getting your food, seating was provided under a tent. Saw many people order food and take it home.
Traditional dishes included: Gyros, Baklava, Spanakopita, Greek Fries, Pastitsio, and Kotopita. Food was only ok. Needed more of the Greek flavors we've learned to love.
Would have liked to have taken a tour of the church, but times...
Read moreFrom the outside this Parish does not look really all that special. However inside, inside is a completely different story.
The nave is absolutely beautiful. The icon paintings are amazing. The stained glass is really something to see up close. The assortment and quality of their icons is just humbling.
The Liturgy is very good. It is mostly in English. So if English is your first language don't be worried about not understanding the liturgy. Some of it is in Greek but the parts that are add to the experience in my opinion and I only speak English.
The Parish community is warm and welcoming. Really, a solid Orthodox Christian family setting. Somewhere you can raise a family and center your lives around The Father, The Son and The...
