Adrian (the owner) is a bygone era: honest, a man of his word, professional, expert mechanic, fair prices, takes pride in his work/business, and treats customers like an old friend (even though I am a total stranger).

I am moving across country from California (passing through Vegas) to Washington DC towing a 5th wheel trailer. I am military. I called and left a message for Adrian. He called me back in a timely manner. Adrian spoke on the phone with me for about 20 minutes, recommending what I needed and what I did not need. He ordered the parts the same day, ready to conduct the work the next day. He told me to bring my truck in at 0730hrs in the morning.

I was actually two minutes late, arriving at 0732hrs. His mechanic was already on standby waiting to get my truck pulled into the bay and begin the work. The mechanic was straight forward, professional, friendly, took pride in his work, and did an overall phenomenal job.

Adrian’s office / waiting room is clean and welcoming. The office has an “old school” neighborly feel in a modern world. I was actually going to leave rather than wait. I am glad I didn’t. The couch was very comfortable and overall a great experience while I waited. Adrian and I struck up a conversation, we ended up talking for 30-45 minutes (complete strangers who spoke like friends). Before I knew it, his team was complete with my brakes and had me back on the road.

Finally, about 4 weeks after the below review, the engine check light did come back on. This was a surprise to everyone.

This time Adrian (owner) took it on as his personal project. He went through everything with a fine tooth comb. By scrubbing out the system and testing every part of the def system, he was able to get everything working perfectly again.

It has now been about 4 weeks again with no problems.

Frankly, I don't expect any reoccurrence. And, I'm not concerned if it does reoccur because I know Powerstroke Performance is there for me,

Original from about March 2025: Simply put....if you have a problem with a Ford powerstroke engine.... this is where you need to go. My truck started throwing out multiple def engine codes. I was reluctant to go to my usual Ford dealership since previously they charged $250 just for a diagnostic. So, I had Powerstroke Performance check into it. They told me multiple def items needed replacing. I was hesitant that they were just "throwing the kitchen sink" at it versus isolating one item. But, during the previous 8 months I would get different troubling def messages off and on. I went ahead with it and am glad I did. Finding someone who knows actually knows powerstrokes can be quite difficult. I even have my own trusted mechanic, who is also a trained and certified diesel mechanic with lots of experience with powerstrokes and he has limitations because to really know these vehicles, you have to specialize, in my opinion.

I have had an issue with my 7.3 overheating due to excessive EGT temps when towing up large grades, and have talked to my own trusted mechanic as well as many other people and spent countless hours researching the issue.

When I called and talked to Adrian, he knew what it was instantly and told me I could come by for him to take a look and verify his suspicions. Within a couple of minutes he found the problem I have been having for over a year and it didn't cost me a dime.

I am so relieved now that I know what the issue is and although the fix is out of my budget, I feel his quote was fair and as soon as I can afford to do the job, Powerstroke Performance will be the shop to take care of my diesel auto...
