My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at the Copper Whisk Café inside The Orleans Casino, and we were lucky to have Treina as our server. From the moment we were seated, she was upbeat, professional, and incredibly kind. Her service was exceptional, so much so that we never had to ask for a thing because she was already on top of everything.
After chatting with Treina for a bit, we learned that she has been with the Copper Whisk Café for only six months. Honestly, with her skill and professionalism, you’d think she had been there for years. We also noticed how she treated every customer with the same kindness and attentiveness, always greeting them with a smile. One of the highlights of our afternoon was watching her help a family celebrate a loved one’s birthday. She even joined in singing "Happy Birthday" to an elderly gentleman, and her genuine enthusiasm made the moment extra special. Seeing how happy he and his family were just spoke to the kind of person and server Treina is.
Not only was the service outstanding, but the food was excellent as well. We started with the Wings & Rings appetizer, which was delicious. My husband had the burger with crispy onions, and I ordered the blackened salmon, both were fantastic. A big thank you to the chef! I also ordered the oxtail soup to go, as it came highly recommended, and I’m looking forward to enjoying it for lunch tomorrow.
Treina took a moment to chat with us when she had a free moment, which was really nice. It made our dining experience feel even more personal. Overall, we had an amazing time, and the Copper Whisk Café has definitely made it onto our list of favorite places to eat. The ambience is beautiful, the food is great, and with servers like Treina, the experience is truly memorable. We’ll...
Read moreMy husband and I frequent The Orleans several times a year. The Copper Whisk is terribly disappointing. I have done bad reviews for this cafe before, but this takes the cake. We ate at about 7 pm on a Thurs night. What a mistake. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. The chicken was literally inedible. It was tough and had a distinct taste of freezer burn. It was so tough, that I could not cut about half of it. I ate a few bites and stopped, as I did not want to get sick for the night. I took the breading off of the chicken breast and it looked like something that stayed at the bottom of the freezer, unwrapped, for ages. It was disgusting. I did not feel great the rest of the evening, likely from the few bites that I did try, hoping that different parts of the breast would be better. None of it was good. My husband ordered breakfast, and his order was to include toast. The waitress never asked what kind of toast he wanted, nor did he get the toast. It was shift change, so others were complaining about the service. Our waitress was attentive, but she clearly did not know the menu, or the breakfast that my husband ordered, would have been delivered with the toast that should come with it.
It is really disappointing how bad this restaurant has gotten. Before The Orleans restaurant remodels, it was good, with good choices and good service....not any more. This place is pitiful. Do not go there. The only thing that I would halfway trust anymore is a breakfast.
Get better, or you may as well close up!
Sad part is, The Orleans closed so many of their good restaurants, the choices are quite limited. Please open The Buffet and The Prime Rib Loft. Right now, the food court is much better that The...
Read moreWe arrived the cafe on a Wed. afternoon around 3pm. When we approached the counter, the only lady behind the counter was on the phone, so no one else greeted us. Finally we were led to a table and she just left us there without saying a word to us as who would be our server...etc. it was another long few minutes before anyone approached us for service. We asked the server if there was a different menu like the one we saw online. She told us that full menu would only be available after 3pm. After we checked the time (now it was well after 3pm), we asked her again. Then she said the menu we talked about was served before 3pm. We needed a clear answer, so we went to ask the cashier up in front. She said the only menu served would be the one on the table for the summer. Why did our server just make up the answer as she went along? After she took our order, it must have been 10-15 minutes waiting for our food. However we were served with the bill a few minutes after we started eating. Perhaps she was getting off her shift soon. Our experience tells us this place is so lack of service. We probably would not return or recommend it. If not for the nice lady (after shift change) in the front who thanked us on our way out, we probably would have drop another...
