I bought a snicker covered candy apple and three pecan bear claws. It was the worst chocolate I ever had. The bear claw was so hard that you couldn’t bite through it. The snicker covered candy apple was disgusting. The apple didn’t even have at flavor. I spoke with a staff member who stated that the bear claw was a number one best seller. I paid $35.00 for the chocolate and was displeased because it didn’t taste good. I trashed it the product. I have purchased these same items at other locations and it was great. The owner of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory should go to the Orleans location and see what is going on with there products. The Orleans location is by far the worst I’ve ever tasted. The staff that I spoke with didn’t even know how to take a complaint and she continued to insist that no one ever complained. I lost $35.00 dollars on bad product. However, I’m doing this review to save others from losing money. Please note that I’m a fan of Rocky Mountain Chocolate and I’ve tasted chocolate from several other locations and it the product was exceptional and the staff was very nice. My experience is my experience and the staff member couldn’t even hear my complaints because she was so busy trying to convince me that she never had a complaint before. I’ll repeat this location is the worst chocolate I’ve...
Read moreHorrible how the owners treat their employees like slaves. Literally allowing high school kids to run the store for weeks on end. Owners favorite line “I’ll take care of you”, just to be left hanging and over worked. This was the worst employment experience In my life. Rocky Mountain as Company name should not allow people to run businesses that treat their employees with such little respect. From discrimination to emotional abuse. Don’t let your teen work here. If you are an adult save your sanity. HR is ran by a family friend which makes addressing work place issues and conflicts virtually impossible and very uncomfortable. If they don’t like you, you will be forced or bullied out your position.
I hope they sell this business and give to people who care about the employees...
Read moreThe shop is tiny and to find it you need to head for the elevators. There is a sign hanging in the main hallway and the store is just off of that.
The small L shape space was staffed by two employees. They were very polite. The selection was slim but nice. They were out of Candy Apples, the true reason I had gone. I settled for a caramel apple and the young man was nice enough to cut it.
However, caramel is sticky and cutting it in its muffin cup and tossing it in a bag means caramel goes everywhere but the apple.
I got the feeling that the employees are employees vs people who are focusing on a career in confections. However, the store was clean, they were polite, and it was nice to see some of the Casinos...
