The young lady working the register was super sweet but the older women in this shop are among the most pushy, outright rude and overly disgusting human beings I've ever encountered. My wife and I went in to get clothes for a traditional Indian wedding. We spent $400 here They only had one item for me to try on. To which when I put it on the lady says "you're so sweaty". It's because the 85 degrees outside was cooler than inside the shop. I'm not picky so I accept what was provided. Then came time for her to find something for my wife. I was instructed to wait in the lobby where they performed rushed brow threading and pushed overpriced micro blading(my wife is an actual licensed esthetician unlike these ladies). My wife came out in a beautiful dress that needed alterations. We also bought some gold plated bangles that probably cost the shop 5 bucks for $100. Though after we left my wife informed me she only accepted the dress to make me happy as it's my best friends wedding. Then explained the woman(the manager) who had helped her was extremely rude. My wife is 5'4" and 155lbs. Not petite but definitely not a plus sized woman. The manager not only advised her "not to show her midriff" but then told her she was too fat for some outfits and even asked if she was pregnant unsolicited. Thankfully after my wife tried to get a refund I went the next day and was cashapp'ed a refund for everything but my outfit that despite having their tag still on it they wouldn't accept. They can enjoy the last $80 they've gotten from me Avoid this place at all costs. The women here are mean, hateful and practice unethical business
After owner response... It was not a misunderstanding. Your employee unsolicited literally asked my wife if she was pregnant because she wasn't petite. She and the other lady were beyond rude. The only exception was the young girl(likely below legal working age) working the register. After speaking with my best friends future wife from Gujarat she told me this type of behavior is a common mindset among Indian culture where being petite is basically expected and anything other than that is criticized to the point of being hurtful. Tell your employees this isn't India so covert to a more civilized mindset.
I will be reporting this business to the better business Bureau and local authorities that govern...
Read moreI came here to buy attire for our friend’s wedding. I was hoping I would get help in finding culturally appropriate attire. I however was totally offended by how rude the owner was in helping me. I came in asking for a Sari outfit and was told I “didn’t want to show my stomach” by the owner as she talked me out of what I was wanting because I wasn’t young or skinny enough to show my midrif. She then put me in a frumpy dress I didn’t want and told me I should lose weight before the wedding and asked if I was pregnant while helping me change in the dressing room. After making me feel old, fat and ugly, she then pushed some cheap bangles on me for $90 which I now know is tremendously overpriced. The only way I was given a refund was because they kept the dress to “let the seams out because of my fat stomach” I have never experienced such horrible customer service. Please don’t go here unless you are skin and bones. They will tell you that...
