My absolute favorite restaurant in the Woodlands/Spring area! This is food that tastes as if it was home cooked and by that I mean you don’t feel as if the food has any unnatural preservatives or sweeteners and it tastes FRESH and it always comes out HOT! Everything tastes as if it’s made to order and made in house. Our family doesn’t feel like we’re cheating on our diet by coming here and thats the biggest driving factor that keeps us coming back. Nothing tastes like it was made with lesser quality ingredients.
For appetizers my family frequently gets the Big Dipper which includes pita bread and Caviar, Eggplant, Hummus and Tzatziki dips. This is a filling appetizer with plenty of variety to get a sample of many different Greek flavors. You also really can’t go wrong with any soup or salad they have, but I particularly enjoy the Tomato Soup, the Chicken Orzo soup and the Greek Salad.
We also love the Octopus, very garlicky and vinegary, yet refreshing and just tasty.
For entrees my family and I are unapologetic beef lovers so we flock to the Bifteki, Gyros, and Beef Souvlaki. My mother also loves the Dolmades and my father enjoys the pork chops. The snapper is wonderful. Cooked beautifully and with a refreshing, light creamy, yet tasteful sauce to accompany it.
Don’t forget to try their delicious desserts, our family particularly enjoys the Chocolate Mousse, a very rich moist chocolate cake. The carrot cake is exceptional as well, I have yet find a place that has one better. It’s hard to go wrong here once again, get a dessert if you saved room! The lady who makes their cakes is a sweet woman and the cakes are delicious!
There’s a lot we haven’t tried but I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that everything on the menu is good. I will just mention that the Kokkinsto is not a dish I prefer.
This food is fairly priced and the portions are GENEROUS!
The serving staff has always been respectful, attentive and polite. We have never felt like we were being rushed out and/or ignored. Everyone that has served us has been very pleasant!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful especially if you come to the belly dancing on Saturday evenings. The restaurant has very beautiful wall art and moody lighting that is not too dark that it puts you asleep but not too bright that you feel like you’re in a gas station at 2 in the morning.
Do not let the older concrete jungle style shopping center fool you, the Olive Oil is the best restaurant in the area!
To the owners of this establishment, keep going at it with the mindset that you have and you’re sure to have my family as frequent guests for years to come and that is at...

The attentive service ensures that glasses stay full, and the generous portions guarantee a satisfying meal with leftovers to spare. The taste is consistently superb.
As a grape leaf enthusiast (or so I though), I was pleasantly surprised during today's visit to experience them warm for the first time, and they were absolutely fantastic. I don't recall them being served hot during my last visit four years ago. The staff, known for their extreme niceness and professionalism, ensures that I never have to request a refill, and the food arrives swiftly and piping hot.
If there's one minor drawback, it would be the house fries or chips. It seems they might be mass-prepared, as the ones I received on this occasion had a slightly aged appearance and lacked the desired crispiness, almost verging on soggy. However, this doesn't diminish the overall appeal of the establishment. It simply means that when choosing a side, I might opt for something other than the house fries unless I can request them freshly prepared straight from the oil or oven.
Previously on The Olive Oil ... If the lunch crowd is any indication of how good this place is then you should get there early! Visited there for lunch with coworkers and was very excited as greek and mediterranean are some of my favorite food ... so could not wait to tackle the menu. There were tons of great options, but in trying to maintain my awesome figure (LOL) I decided to go with the Orzo Chicken Salad. As long as you don't make the "brain-fart" of a mistake and not realizing that salads are typically cold you can't go wrong with his dish. So needless to say I had to rewire my brain to realize I was eating a colder dish and once that rewire was completed, I was very delighted and satisfied with my choice. The vegetables were def. fresh and the chicken was warm and tasty. I did run into 2 smaller pieces of chicken that were a little too charred, but it did not take away from the overall dish. The orzo was cooked to perfection. If i could have found a warm orzo / chicken dish i would have been in heaven. Seems like the Gyros are the most popular items here as the majority of folks at my table and in the restaurant from what I noticed seemed to have gyros on their plates so does not look like you could go wrong there. I did manage to taste a greek "french" fry and it was delicious. Our server Bruno was also very good ... his service was impeccable ... very attentive and knowledgeable. Will def....
Read moreTerrible experience. Extremely rude manager!!
I placed an order via doordash and waited in my car in front of the restaurant. The app showed order placed and can be picked in 15 mins. However later I realized that it also said that the restaurant had not confirmed the order yet. Assuming that maybe they forgot to update in the app, I went inside after 15 mins.
After going in the guy at the entrance told me he hadn’t seen the order come through, so they hadn’t even sent it to the kitchen. He said that he can get the kitchen to start working on it quickly and get it ASAP. Since I already had been waiting for 15 mins and my wife and 1 year old were waiting in the car, I requested him to just cancel it. He agreed and unable to figure out how to process that, he called the manager for help. The manager came and without even understanding the situation instead of canceling, just confirmed the order in the system. Most probably to save themselves, from having to cancel a doordash order. And then blatantly just told me ‘You need to cancel it on your side, with a totally “not my problem “ attitude. I knew that it isn’t an option in the app, until you call th and explained them the whole situation and I didn’t had time for that. I was very polite till then but looking at this blatancy and the behavior of transferring the liability of dealing with the situation on me, when they restaurant was at fault , I escalated my tone but still keeping it respectful. I demanded explanation why he did that, but he was just kept say saying I can’t do anything, you need to call them. I asked to talk to the manager and he said in a very rude tone that he is the manager and will not do anything. Rather than accepting responsibility and trying to resolve the situation, he said I was creating a scene when clearly it was his actions that had created this whole situation. By then the other guy, had already brought my order, so I instead of keep this going and have my family waiting, I decided take the order, and just leave. The manager stopped me again and in a very rude way asked me to take a picture of the order in the app before leaving. I tried to explain him I am not a dasher and can not do that. He still wouldn’t let me go, until the other guy came in and asked him to end the conversation. The manager definitely needs a training in how to deal with genuine customers when there is a mess up on their part.
