EDIT: I came back here on Friday Sept 11 due to the new owner comment to give it another try. Much better experience this time around vs the first time around. I had the tofu rice plate this time around and my mother had the noodle plate. The taste was much better. Flavor is subtle but not bland. The Vietnamese coffee was much better since it was stronger in flavor. The waitstaff was much better and more attentive. Overall I will come back again.
New Vietnamese restaurant located on Rayford and I came here based on the reviews and I was hoping based on the many good reviews a good Vietnamese restaurant near me; however unfortunately I found it okay not spectacular based on the reviews.
When I came in, it was slow. The restaurant is clean and light. I am not so keen on the furniture but I know others will like it. The menu is traditional Vietnamese staple. It is quite expensive but I expect that for The Woodlands.
I ordered quite simple: veggies sandwich with Vietnamese coffee and a rice plate for the kids. My order took a while to come while others who came in after me had their foods come quickly. I think it's because looking around they ordered the pho which is probably made in bigger portions so that serving is quick. The Vietnamese coffee was worth the price because it came in a bigger glass then most that always come in a little cup. The only thing I would say is it was a bit sweeter than I like (I like it with less cream and more just the coffee). They didn't diluted it with a lot of ice either so I appreciate that. The sandwich itself was okay. The bread was good but the filling was a bit boring and the tofu despite it being describe as lemongrass, I didn't really taste it. The kids rice plate was not so good for the price it was. It was very dry and didn't come with any sauce for them. My son used the hoisin sauce but my daughter did not since she is more picky. So overall food standard wise I would put more average in comparison to other Vietnamese restaurants I visit.
I would also write service for me wasn't too good. I'm not sure if my waitress was having a off day but we were mostly left alone and had to ask constantly to have our teas refilled (it was slow then got busy). It was better when we checked out when my son accidentally broke their glass, they told me not to worry about it and I appreciate that.
Overall, for the woodlands area I think this Vietnamese restaurant is probably the best one so I would recommend if you are needing a...
Read moreYES: Absolutely the best pho I have found in a 50-mile radius! We've been to a lot of pho restaurants and had many experiences, but this is definitely the best yet! The prices are good, the portions are great, and the taste and quality of ingredients are fantastic! This restaurant really knows how to make excellent pho! The location is a bit unassuming, being located in a strip mall. Walking in, the decor is very mild but that's because they focus on their cooking. Based on the rating, I had to try this restaurant. *A good sign excellent food is the amount of Grubhub and a like Food Services picking up food for deliveries. We were greeted when we walked in and picked out our own table to sit at. They brought out menus and we chose the P1 pho, which had everything (back rib, brisket, filet mignon and meatball) in the large size. The portions were VERY generous and the key to making an excellent pho is having excellent broth which is what this restaurant delivers that excellence! Also, the portion of noodles and meats were perfect. *I also want to commend them for making a savory broth that was not salty. It was also served with a side of fresh sprouts, basil and lemon wedges. The Peace Day resistance in this bowl of broth was actually getting a bone with meat on it along with the other generous portions of beef and sausage. The wait staff is very pleasant. They were very attentive and delivered food quickly and provided excellent service. They also kept a very clean restaurant and provided all the condiments and silverware needed to enjoy your fall. The price per person was approximately $20 which included the large bowl of pho, so does and also the tempura shrimp which was delicious as well. I absolutely give Pho Viet Tastes two BIG thumbs up! This is the best Pho that we have had in the area so far! Again, the food is stellar, the price is very reasonable and absolutely worth coming back here...
Read moreOn top of the reply the owner provided below this isn’t true. I ordered soon after I received my menu. On top of asked her to clean the table. As a matter of fact I ordered before she even cleaned the table. Please get your story straight before you start arguing with a customer posting a review. To even accuse a customer of coming in to purposely write about their experience is very poor practice which changed my 3 star to a 1 star review. Not once did she come back to check to even refill a glass of water without having to ask or call for it to be done. When I asked about paying, I was then directed to go up to the register. No cameras and sound required for that. I don’t need any refunds, thanks.
Good but nothing spectacular in relation to any other Vietnamese restaurants.
Service was more on the mediocre to poor side which was a bit disappointing. I literally tried to get the waitress’ attention for quite awhile before I had to call them, yes as in dial them on the phone while in the restaurant from my table. By the time she walked over and I told her I had to order something to go she then tells me their kitchen is closed a minute before closing time. Now it’s getting annoying as I told her I had been trying to get her to come over until I had to call to get someone’s attention. She then walks off to make the order. On top of this I had to ask her to even refill my...
