I really and truly believe they need to be reported to the better business bureau.
I booked through hotels.com. I then tried calling to verify their pet policy, but the only number listed was not going through. It actually said the number wasn’t in service which is bizarre.
I arrive, signs on the door say masks are mandatory. I was the ONLY person wearing a mask. Out of my 3 days stay I did not see a single employee or anyone else with a mask on. NOBODY.
Anyway, I go up to the room I was initially given and it wasn’t clean. Given that we are in a pandemic, you would think they’d take extra precautions to be sure rooms are clean before sending a paying customer into them. I got back down and state that my room is dirty and I’m told “oh no it’s not dirty, it’s probably just not ready” what does that even mean?! I walk into an unmade bed, that’s just unsanitary. I was offered no apology. Just silently given a new room, as I could tell the employee did not want to be there and was also perturbed that I had the audacity to bring up the fact that nobody was wearing masks (I know how dare I, considering there are 20 signs posted)
The room was fine. Not great. But livable. But also not the safest, as the deadbolt didn’t work. Outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. Shower door didn’t stay closed.
The outside of the hotel was disgusting. There was a pet waste pickup station but there were no bags in it, and it was dangling there missing some screws and it was buried in knee high grass. In fact the entire place was surrounded by over grown grass. How a giant chain can’t simply do some landscaping to allow for people to safely take their pets out is beyond me?
I brought my dog with me to work during my stay. Yet my room was still never cleaned. Yep, a 3 night stay with zero attempt to enter from house keeping. Now I thought maybe due to Covid they weren’t doing housekeeping, but if that were the case, it should be communicated and extra towels and amenities should have been offered. But there was never anyone at the front desk any way. And when there was, they couldn’t be bothered to assist with anything.
Here’s the real kicker, I was told upon check in that my dog was going to cost $20. Fine, awesome, makes sense. I was charged $70 and I don’t know why. But guess what, I CANT GET A HOLD OF THE HOTEL. Because now their number works, but it goes straight to Generic customer service. And the customer service people don’t believe me when I tell them the number I called is the direct line to the hotel. All 10 people I’ve been transferred to have given me the same number, and I tell them THAT IS THE NUMBER I CALLED, that is the current line we are on as we speak. And they aren’t quite grasping that. I was also given an email address, in which my email has bounced back.
All I want is an itemized receipt so I can expense my trip. THATS IT. Literally the easiest thing ever. But I cannot find a single person to help me. FOR A RECEIPT. I was also provided a reference number by the last person I spoke with. I’ve received nothing in regards to my request.
Reference #4423412 Just in case someone actually works for this company and can help?
Seriously, never ever ever ever stay at any Wyndham hotel. No matter how convenient or reasonably...
Read moreRating this as a 1 star for some very good reasons. Things started off alright with only minor annoying things like no towels in our room and a burned out light bulb. There are a few staff there that are awesome, which is sad to have to leave this review because they were amazing and hard working, otherwise I would not even recommend staying here. We found a bed bug, documented it and and immediately reported it to the front desk. We were told there were no clean rooms to even transfer us to and if we did we would have to wash all of our stuff out of pocket first. I was told repeatedly that a Manager name Blake would call and that never happened.
Breakfast was lacking in food and safety handling. The Fridge for milk was frozen over most of the time and there was no milk on a couple of days. No banana's, yogurt, or other items to even eat with like plates and cups, even though it was early in the morning, long before breakfast ended. Guests were having to bring individual wrapped cups from the rooms to use for drinks. Prime concern here is the food safety. During our four day stay we did not receive house keeping, had to empty trash on our own, get towels each day, and under the bed was disgusting
Lastly, in the attempt to leave on our check-out day we were pulling the cart out of the elevator on the first floor only to be blocked from even leaving the elevator thanks to a house keeping cart left in the hall area by the elevator without even an employee in sight. After some struggle and a screaming elevator we managed to squeeze out and around and move the cart...This is a fire hazard.
The fact that our complaints were ignored, attempts to reach out to corporate were a JOKE! safety and health concerns and they said oh we'll follow up in seven days...I've attempted to reach out to Blake, been promised a call back, got promised a call back in 15-20 minutes again and now I've had enough and unless you are desperate I wouldn't stay here again and not likely to ever stay another La Quinta Branded...
Read moreWhere do I start... the only reason I stayed is because I'm in a temporary budget and couldn't beat the price for the size room I needed. I had to move rooms 3 times. 1st room, refrigerator didn't work and the bathroom had a towel on the floor like someone had just got out the shower. Room smelled of pets. So we were moved. Dee at the front desk was helpful in that. The 2nd room smelled of mildew and the floor was sticky. But by this time I'm tired and had been on the road for hours and just needed to get some rest so I could be ready for work the next morning. I sprayed almost my whole can of lysol and febreeze all over. Finally laid down and the bed swallowed me up it was sunken in so bad. At this point, I had to find a comfort zone & make do. The next day I asked for another room and this room had a better bed. Still sunken in, but not as bad as the other one. The refrigerator worked, but the room was dirty. Again, because of my budget and need for this size room, tired from the night before & work that day, I made do. Housekeeping came in the next day and I don't know what they did, but it wasn't clean the room. There was still bits of trash on the floor, the carpet was sticky, and the roaches seemed to like whatever they did do because they started coming out of no where. I cringed at whatever was splattered on the walls, hated thinking about what it could be. Sheets, towels, and spread was so dingy, I just sprayed and prayed. Me and my little brother began to itch. Thankfully I travel with minimal cleaning supplies because I'm always traveling for work. This hotel needs a major major make over, new carpet, paint job, a whole new hotel. The only thing it has going for it is the front desk staff. They are why this place is still alive & thriving. Everyone (front desk) I encountered in this 4 day stay was very helpful, pleasant, and accommodating to the needs of the customer. They should be rewarded for keeping this...
