Painting with a Twist — Attraction in Spring

I've gone to other Painting with a Twist locations in the past and always had a great experience. I recently called this location to try to set something up for my daughter's birthday party the lady I spoke with on the phone, Kat, was very knowledgeable and polite about the services they offer. Before making my reservation I called back to ask one more quick question and this time the manager answered the phone and when I asked to speak with Kat she outright refused to let me speak with her and told me that I needed to talk to her because she was the manager ( not in a very friendly tone to say the least). I explained to her that I had just spent over 10 minutes talking to her employee about details and that I didn't really have the time to explain the whole situation again and that it would probably be easier on all of us if I could just speak to cat real quick to ask my question.

She continued to get very ugly with me and again refused to let me speak with Kat. Why do you hire people if you don't trust them to give out appropriate information to your customers and speak with them on the phone?

Her demeanor and tone during the conversation were so much of a turn off that I decided to not do business with them at all😅🙃 definitely didn't want to be paying hundreds of dollars to deal with that kind of attitude from a grown woman on my daughter's birthday.

This is not going to be a good review. I purchased two tickets for the February 19th Dog painting class as a Valentine/Anniversary gift for my husband. As instructed, I sent in two photos of our dogs on the Thursday before the Sunday class. Our class was to start at 3 pm but we didn't get started until 3:35 because the instructor didn't sketch our photos before the class started. One excuse she made was that they had a new projector but I overheard her tell her co-worked that she had stayed out way too late the night before. Finally the class began and we received very little instructions. As the night went on, she helped other people and not once asked my struggling husband if he needed help. I even asked her to help but she never did but maybe she misunderstood and thought I was asking for me. The instructor (jessica), also worked on other people's paintings to help get their eyes correct or something but never assisted my husband. He was so disappointed that he was treated this way and he hates his painting and refuses to hang it on the wall. At the end of the night, after taking our group photo, she asked for tips. I don't mind her putting her tip jar out, but certainly she shouldn't blatantly ask for a tip. 12 people at $55 each should certainly pay her a salary that wouldn't require her to ask for a tip. Very bad experience. If we decided to go again, I would make sure we had a different instructor but right now, we have no desire...

What an experience! My husband surprised me for a painting date (I’ve been wanting to go forever) and planned it on our 2 year wedding anniversary. It was a Paint Your Pet night and our very first foray into pretty much anything artistic.

The beginning of the class, the music, and the atmosphere was amazing. Also the assistant was SO SWEET and super helpful when she saw me struggling. My only sadness and disappointment comes from our instructor… she didn’t check on my husband at all. She made one single comment to me about texture. She chatted with the regulars and people that seemed to be her friends, and at the end, took everyone’s pictures with their final painting, but since we ran a couple of minutes over, didn’t take our picture so we left in a hurry with wet artwork. I just wish we’d had more help in knowing what to do with the actual painting and that she would’ve checked up on us at least once or twice. We’d love to do this again but next time, we’ll 100% choose a different instructor or maybe a different location. We’re so happy with the fun time and the art and the memory we made on our anniversary, but let down by the instructor essentially ignoring us for the entirety of the 3 hour class. Thank god for her assistant because she was such an angel and helped us feel more comfortable.
