At first, I loved this place I had a blast playing the games here! The apostrophe is great and very retro, but the reason for the three stars is my brother and I left the arcade to get grab some lunch nearby the arcade, as we ate I called the arcade asking if it would be possible to enter the arcade after we left without a problem, the employee I was speaking to said of course. So I finished my meal and went back to the arcade ready to play. When my brother and I entered we told them that we just spoked on the phone but they unfortunately did not let us back in with the reason of their sixteen and up Guardian policy. It is unfortunate because I was told I can walk back in without a problem. Before this, I walked out before and let back in with no issues but I guess not this time. I was a little upset considering I paid a large amount to play. I know it’s a policy so I have to respect it. But aren’t arcades like this for kids and kids at heart? It’s not the biggest deal and hope not to make it one, but just somthing to consider. Thank you.
As of now: The owner of the arcade responded to me very appropriately. The owner explained the rules and what I did wrong. I did not mention that my brother and I are minors in the call. This was my first time here so these rules are new but now I know. Thank you to the owner for the very respectable response.
Don’t get me wrong, the arcade is awesome, but as I now know arrive with an adult
Thank you (again)
I’ll bump it up to four stars for the great staff Me and my buddies will come back with the appropriate...
Read moreStopped by here on a whim while my wife and I were next door at a market store. As we walked in a younger employee that works there was quick to see our lost looks on our face and asked if it was our first time there. He helped us get set up to start playing within 2 minutes. The way the arcade was set up that day was freeplay all day for $15 per person. The arcade has a good selection of arcade machines, platformers, side scrollers, fighting games, shooters and an abundance of pinball machines. There was 80s and early 90s music playing throughout the venue which was at a reasonable volume most of the day until later until the afternoon when it seemed it had gotten extremely loud where it was a little unbearable. All the arcade stick machines worked well expect for a select few that were down. Pinball machines were hit and miss with some missing the ball and were unplayable. I did see a staff member fixing the start wars pinball machine at one point so I'm under the assumption it takes a while to get to all of the machines. I didn't see any form of food stands or eating selection, but I did notice several people had pizza and was unsure if it was sold on site or if it was outside food. We spent roughly 3 hours here and had...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I’ve been to Cidercade, so initially I felt this was going to be hard to top, but after visiting this location, I was more than impressed!
My first impression when walking in was that it seemed a little small, at least compared to Cidercade, but the rooms go back further than one initially thinks. The game variety was super vast; I played so many unique games that Cidercade didn’t have. They have a projector where you can select songs, and it plays the music video for the said song (it’s free). It’s also a bring-your-own-food and BYOB location. Another great thing about this is it's more of a low-key location. I came here on a Saturday with my girlfriend and had no issues with playing what we wanted to. Cidercade on a Saturday was a little hellish; it started feeling a little packed and became difficult to find games you wanted to play. I’ve also seen a few reviews mentioning “broken games,” and while we did see a few games down here and there, we also witnessed the repair guys working on them while we played, so obviously, they’re trying their best to get everything up and running and not just neglecting them. Overall, a super cool experience, a great way to kill a lot of time...
