I love this grocery store. #1 Everything costs less. I still buy some household products at Sams in bulk but for food it is amazing. Many of their items are specialty items and taste fantastic. #2 It is the most efficient store. They layout is straight forward and you don't have to decide between multiple brands. It makes shopping take less time. #3 There aren't employees asking you every 2 minutes if they can help you find something. There ARE employees on the floor and they will happily answer your question and help you but they do not intrude on experience. #4 The checkout experience is really fast and efficient as well. Even if the line looks long you will move through it quickly. #5 They have a good selection of gluten free and healthy life style products which is great if you have these needs but are on a budget! Shopping tips! Bring a quarter - you need it for a shopping cart but you get your quarter back. Some people act like this is a big deal but it really isn't. My Aldi quarter just lives in my wallet and I get it out when I get there and put it away when I leave. Bring bags or collect boxes on your way through - Aldi doesn't bag your groceries - which is why they check you out so fast. By bringing your own bags you are actually being environmentally. If you don't have bags you can buy some for fairly cheap at Aldi. Alternatively you can grab boxes on your way through and put your groceries in them. For a while my bags got ruined because life happens and until I got new ones I just threw everything in my trunk. It really wasn't that big of an inconvenience.
This store is different but the differences make for a really good shopping experience. If you haven't tried it out yet I would...
Read moreThis review is for the Battlefield location, I am an instacart shopper (a very new one). The cashiers are horribly rude at this location, and not helpful AT ALL. I had an order at the Kearney location today as well and I thanked the cashier for being so pleasant and helpful. It is important to remind your employees if they don't enjoy their jobs there's plenty of people who would! It doesn't take that much effort to be KIND to people especially if you are in CUSTOMER SERVICE. With the way things are going with this virus, it would be in your best interest to LOVE THY NEIGHBOR, we are all in this together whether you like it or not!
I want to point out that the gentleman who was my cashier, was rude by telling me I could only have 2 gallons of water for my customer. When I said, " there wasn't a sign stating only two" he yelled at me and said " I don't care you can only have 2.
I also want to point out, before I started to shop I spoke with the manager and told her of my previous experience. She was kind and understanding for the most part and explained the cashiers are under "extreme" stress with the extra cleaning they now have to do! With me being a customer as well, I feel the excuses need to be put to rest and these employees need to be held accountable for their actions. News flash, instacart shoppers will be all you see soon. I will not be excited to go into this location but I will treat my customers and your employees the way I want to be treated, please pass that on and lets beat this thing together with better attitudes!
Sincerely, Someone who is not giving up or...
Read moreStill love Aldi's. With the holidays coming more and more goodies are appearing in the store. Yum.
Still our primary store. We notice a lot less of the European goodies came in this year. Another loss to the pandemic. But the basics are great and there are still wonderful surprises.
Time passes and Aldi is still a major part of our food plan. We shop for our house and my mother's. I am mostly vegan and everyone else loves the meat section. Still very few special goodies from Europe but that may just be the customer base. Also I noticed lately they have less and less Vegan food items. Mainly it's tofu and one or two veggie burgers. So I am learning how to produce my own options. Again, might just be customer demand. All in all still really like Aldi.
These three paragraphs each represent about one to two years spacing.
Here I am again. Aldi's is still a go to in 2023. But they have very few of the things that first brought us in. Still it works for us since we cook a lot and the pricing is good. Miss all the European goodies and the vegan items they used to carry but times change. We appreciate the staff and the...
