-----|-----||IMPRESSIVE new hotel with a WONDERFUL staff||- - - - - - - -||August, 2024 Visit||My wonderful wife and I enjoyed a fantastic getaway weekend to Springfield and Branson… 47 hours of fun!||We were able to reserve one night in Branson, and my wife then found this new hotel in Springfield… and it is NICE!||I had not heard of Element before; it’s a chain from the Westin side of Marriott and it’s nice. ||This hotel only opened in January, 2024; this is the newest hotel I’ve ever stayed in… so new it still had “new construction smell” in a few places (not overwhelming… just nice and evoked memories of moving into new homes in the past…).||Many hotel rooms are shaped more like a rectangle; the Element’s rooms are slightly more square shaped, and are noticeably larger. Our room had a mini kitchen, with a 5-foot size refrigerator, a two-burner glass cooktop, microwave, and cooking utensils. The bathroom was more roomy than most, too.||The entire hotel has a green / “closer to nature” theme (my term), which is done well, is not overdone, and which is consistent throughout the property.||The lobby is tall and open and bright; the breakfast space is set up nicely… most of the non-heated food is presented on wheeled, wooden carts; hot food is available from the kitchen window, accessible from the sliding barn doors. They have a good mix of eggs, meats, pancakes… and gluten-free options, too. The juices are on a refrigerated flat-surface appliance (neat!), and the cream. And milk in insulated bottles with wood/bamboo exteriors.||Like many hotels, the shower has only liquid soaps in a pump… no bars… that’s understandable. The sink still has soap bars… and I don’t often notice the scents, but the bar of soap and the lotion smell incredibly good. Thank you to the Manager for gettin a few bottles of lotion for my wife to bring home!||The woman working the breakfast area that early August Saturday morning was most friendly and welcoming and gracious in serving us. She also helped us appreciate that she likes this property the best of the several hotel properties she’s worked at, in part because the Element’s attention to quality… things like three-time filtered water throughout the property.||We definitely like this property and now know we don’t need to sleep in Branson each night of a trip… Springfield has much to see on its own right and staying at the Element Springfield South provides great access to the World’s Largest Fork, the home of cashew chicken and more.||Thank you, Element Springfield...

Read moreGreat rooms looks like a pretty newish hotel.||The rooms are a decent size with a full kitchen (no laundry facilities in the room) we had a king size suite with a king size pull out sofa, we had to ask for an extra quilt for the extra bed as only a blanket was offered.||The bed was very comfortable with great pillows however, we had a “City View” room which basically meant we faced right out onto a VERY BUSY and NOISY road unfortunately I didn’t get to sleep till around 4am due to the noise.||The king sofa bed when pulled out leaves very little space so if you need to be able to walk around the bed that’s just not going to happen, but if it’s not a mobility issue for you then it’ll be fine.||The blurb states that the windows can be opened but ours appeared to be shut tight, jammed in some sort of way with no latch even although there was mesh on the outside, so basically sliding windows which didn’t slide!||The bathroom has a great shower with the controls at he other end so you can switch on before getting in, great bit of forward thinking by someone in design; the sink plug was an issue when we tried to fill the sink it just kept draining away, just little niggles in things that could easily be fixed.||Breakfast in the morning was a tad chaotic although a BIG shout out to the lady on the morning 6th April who made me fresh cooked fluffy pancakes and then brought them over to me for which I was grateful as the hotel was full of soccer kids and parents.||There is an indoor pool and gym which was in full use and looked like it had decent equipment.||Fundamentally this could be a decent hotel if they get things sorted.||But please get better luggage carts the ones on offer are small, have wheels that operate by themselves and have no intention on going in the direction you want and please make sure your hot water pitcher is used for only hot water as a non coffee drinker all I could taste when I made a cup of tea was coffee!||Reception staff were polite and courteous...
