we arrived for an early dinner 5pm ish.. the host was so friendly and seated us quickly. the chips and salsa came out fast. the salsa is that plain tomato sauce boring salsa.. after almost 10 minutes the host came near us to check the thermostat on the wall and he noticed we hadn't been served drinks yet and the chips were gone. so he took our drink order. then a young man that we could not understand came by and asked something about "order"... then a lady came around and that seemed to upset the young man as if she stole his table from him. lol. anyway .. after that things improved. the drinks were tasty. we had a classic Margarita and the Mule. after looking over the menu I couldnt help but notice the pricing was all over the place. for example 3 street taco meal is $16.99 like what the heck!! when would you ever pay that price for street tacos.. what street? what city? but some other items were priced fairly. the small dollop of rice is a joke. this cannot continue to be called a side of rice, its literally a spoon full. The salad is topped with just sour cream.. Sour Cream is not a salad dressing not in Mexico and not in the USA. this needs a legit dressing not sour cream. it's gross! I had the enchiladas Verde with the pork on top and it was tasty but odd for a meal. The fajitas meal was large but only came with 3 little tortillas. The waitress ended up being very attentive and made sure all our left overs were boxed up well. I just don't see the need to return especially with the amount of Mexican restaurants around here, nothing stood out to us... this would be a great place for a family gathering it seems roomy.. and since it's newly remodeled it's nice and...
Read moreI really wanted jose locos that used to be in the location. I did not wanna have to go all the way across town to Glenstone, So I thought I'd give the new place a try. They had hardly any customers, but in spite of that fact it took forever to get service. When we got service, the server was not very polite or kind and it wasn't a language barrier. It was just them being grumpy and rude. Then, once we ordered our food, it took what felt like years to get, Even though they seemed adequately staffed and had hardly anybody there, customer wise. The caeso is literally just bland there's no chili's no nothin in it. Like I ordered the chicken, beef and chorizo fajita. Most people are familiar with that order that kind of order and literally the best thing about my meal with the little tiny scoop of refried beans. No lie. To feed 4 people and one only ate the free chips. The bill was over a $100 before tip and nobody ordered anything extra fancy... For that kind of money, I coulda went to hinode or hoolihans or most anywhere decent and had good food and service. It should be noted that I went later in the evening but not ridiculously late. I might be willing to try it at lunch time to just see if there's a difference. But for what I saw I don't Harbor much. Hope I would recommend driving the distance to...
Read moreFirst time here -- we just moved to town and live nearby. Heard good things and we're excited to try it. My wife and I ordered Margaritas. My wife's glass was sticky on the bottom. When she tried to pick it up, it stuck to the table, and she spilled the whole thing in my lap. She was really embarrassed about the spill, and she told the server "the glass stuck to the table." Here's my tip to the restaurant staff and management. Once a customer is in the building, your number 1 job is to get them to come back. What we needed to hear was "everything's fine. No worries. Accidents happen. Let's move you to a new table, and I'll get you a new drink." Instead, we were moved to a new table with barely a word. It was clear to us they were annoyed with the spill. When a new drink didn't come, I flagged down our server and asked for one. And we were charged for it. Eleven bucks. Now, even though we liked the food, we'll never go back and will never...
