The Chicago Cheesesteak Company South — Restaurant in Springfield

People people if you have not been to the Chicago cheesesteak run get into your car but don't speed pulling that parking lot at food 4 less and get inside and order the Hallie peno berry sandwich. Okay I'm not big on spicy foods at all there is grilled jalapenos just a few and a sweet raspberry puree cheese steak and it was in unbelievable grilled sandwich there was other people in there eating the same thing and they took it upon recommendations from others yeah I've never met a stranger folks.. but it is incredibly good it's huge literally you can split one between two people unless one person was extremely hungry. Had the fried mushrooms extremely good it was a fantastic experience and the gentleman that works there were super helpful super friendly smiles on their faces which tells me they enjoy their job and that's the best place to go eat when employees love their job they're going to put everything into it so great job Chicago cheesesteak even the people at the license bureau we're talking about that sandwich by the way incredible. Addtl information as of 8 3 of 22 it just left and you know it's never a bad experience the owner was there super nice as well as Thomas they are the happiest people that work here I think more companies you should come by and take notice and I think more people should come to this hidden gym because it is amazing this time I brought in my horizons and I ordered the grilled little chicken Caesar on a hoagie oh m g freaking delicious does it even cover the sandwich and my favorites I go with onion rings or mushrooms I mean nothing could be wrong here so go people already. Apparently as you can tell this is my favorite freaking place to eat so of course I have my usual onion rings this sandwich I tried was the Philadelphia cheesesteak sucker is huge and amazing the guys Adam and Joshua were amazing super friendly every time I come in there way to go Chicago cheesesteak. Tried the Reuben I don't know how they design these sandwiches absolutely hands down still incredible. A huge thank you...

This place can be considered your typical sandwich shop comma with for 5 tables and a bar to sit at and a giant sign is your menu. The Aesthetics inside is nothing really to gawk at, but the food makes up for what it lacks in personality. My wife and I had two different sandwiches she had the Philly cheesesteak but she said was phenomenal. Probably wasn't as good as something you would actually get in Philly but close to the authentic thing. I had a designer sandwich called the Springfield which has a neat take on the cashew chicken crazy that takes Springfield cashew chicken to a whole new level. It was very delicious and messy sketch pad which is what is required of a delicious sandwich. Of the fresh cut fries are the best I think I've ever had anywhere. The only drawback to this place but it was kind of chilly on the inside and they needed bigger napkins. Otherwise the food got here very quickly and we were able to get our food within five minutes sit down and eat and be out within 20 perfect for a lunch in the afternoon. They have her ties that they also deliver wouldn't know on their quality of delivery but if it's anything like the quality of speed that was presented when we got her food it should be to your home...

I was super excited to try this place, as the photos looked amazing. The overall experience was kind of a let down.

The staff seemed to be kind of annoyed about something so that was off putting from the start. There were no recommendations of any kind, as a new customer I would’ve liked to had some kind of knowledge on what was most popular or their best seller! I would’ve tried it!

With that being said, I settled for the first thing on the menu, which I assumed was one of the classics, (Chicago Philly) which had lettuce, tomato, onion, American cheese with oil and vinegar. At first the sandwich was pretty dry, I almost had to ask for some mayo or something to put on it, but then I got towards the middle and it turned out to be ok. The overall presentation of the sandwich was good, decently sized. The seasoning on the meat and the American cheese kind of resembled a hamburger.

I think some chipotle mayo or some kind of sauce would take this sandwich to the next level. The overall flavor of this sandwich was pretty average, so I probably wouldn’t order this one again.
