A complete run-around: I placed an order for a bathroom counter top and was told the order would be faxed to the contractor the first of the next week and that a response and estimate from the contractor should be received by Jerry's on Wednesday of the next week. I was given a card with the name of the Jerry's contact person. Wednesday of the next week passed and I did not hear anything. On Friday of the next week I telephoned and asked to speak to the person on the card and, after the telephone reception person checked, was told that the person I wanted to speak with was not available. Nine days after placing the order I came into the Jerry's store and spoke to a person working in the bathroom section who then took me to the counter at for that section to receive assistance. I explained to a person there that I was checking on the status of my order. This person then excused herself and went to assist someone else. I thought this might be temporary but waited at the counter for five minutes and the person did not return. I then left to do some other shopping and returned about ten minutes later to the counter. There was one customer waiting at the counter ahead me who received assistance when a Jerry's worker finally came. I waited for 5 minutes for assistance and nobody came to assist me I left and came back 10 minutes later. A person at the counter assisted me and said that the contractor would fax back his response to my order and the response would be at the counter in five minutes. I came back ten minutes later and the response was not there - the person who was getting the response was not there and I did not get assistance. I then went to the customer service counter upfront, waited in line and then complained about the lousy service. A manager was called up for me to speak with. I explained my concerns to the manager. The manager telephoned the bathroom service counter and asked about my order. We waited then the manager said maybe they did not get the sense of urgency so he would walk over to the counter himself. I waited and the manager returned with my order and explained it to me. I was directed by the manager back to the bathroom area service counter where completed the forms. How many times would a sane customer want to repeat an...
Read moreI have always loved Jerry’s, selection, service, price. When I decided to buy new kitchen cabinets I was shocked. First the person doing the estimating quoted me twice what I had been quoted a few years ago saying there were increases. Then the price was straightened out and I prepaid the cabinets, install, countertops. Date was scheduled about 8 weeks out.
Delivery folks tried to reschedule delivery after install date, I fixed that. Then contractor comes and while working tells me he has never seen so much extra trim on an order from Jerry’s. Telling me he was going to have a manager call me. He started hanging cabinets about 6 inches to low, I asked what they were doing and they said I had an 8 inch trim at top! So they said the wrong part was shipped. The counter top guys came and installed a couple weeks later cracking a crabinet seam in the process. We had thanksgiving with plywood counter tops but that was fine.
Waiting for new trim, Christmas came and went, I asked Jerry’s if they had any kind of quality control or follow up on the contractors, yes we will be there when complete they said. In early January they finally came back with the right trim and finished adjusting cabinet doors and putting on molding.when leaving he has a board in a bag and said you probably don’t want this around,?I said yes I will keep it and asked for it back, inside were the rest of my shelf clips which not all had been installed. I asked if he was going to caulk the trim mold with the gap. I usually don’t, he said saying “. I have seen worse”.
Well it’s now April, Jerry’s never reached out or came by. I was charged for installing an outlet I had to have and the contractor says oh, did you want one? Finished the molding myself and installed my own outlet. Felt like they did not care.
UPDATE After posting this I received a check from Jerry’s for $26.99, no info on why or what the pmt was for. Contacted Jerry’s and she said it looks like you had an install with an overpayment. I said that’s interesting as nobody has ever followed up on this work, how would they know unless they read this review. And still no communication, Jerry’s is...
Read more… This morning, pulling a long trailer and at the end of a 14 hours work shift…intending to go to Walmart , I mistakenly ended up in Jerry’s parking lot. I did not realized the mistake and had no intention to “ trespass “ or do anything to bother anyone… While waiting for Walmart’s doors to open at 6 am, exhausted, I fell asleep only to wake up with violent and repeated pounding on my door…. Startled by such sudden and loud noises, I opened the window only to be rudely, demeaningly yelled at by this individual screaming ( at 5:55 am ): “-Get the f… out of my parking lot! This is MY parking, I am the owner!!!!… Move right now!”…
I was calmly and politely trying to explain how I ended up there/not realizing I wasn’t on Walmart’s adjacent property ..( since on a first look it seemed like it was a shared, common space )… but his spastic , unreasonable, paranoid outrage left me speechless and disgusted..:(
His attitude , tone, demeanor…was a disgrace on a human to human level, especially given the fact that any life form with common sense, average or below average intellectually …would understand there was no intent to bother. ..:(. Besides, the whole parking lot, a whole square mile of it.. was empty and unused..
I sure hope and pray that it will stay that way, empty… and his potential clients will fill Home Depot’s parking!
Meanwhile, I wish the “ experience with the place” rating system had “ 0 or below “ as an option….
Unacceptable to treat someone the way you did, little man… There was absolutely Nothic respectable about you..and couldn’t care less about your touted “ owner status “… I will always remember your pathetic, puerile , uncalled for tantrum …
Finally… as a side note: I was not born in the States, but lived here since 1998. I speak other languages and maybe he didn’t like my accent or the American Flag on my t-shirt … In any case, never been in such unpleasant interaction, nowhere before….
I will never forget this “welcoming “ Oregon experience and I hope this insignificant, pathetic, small, cocky and arrogant moron doesn’t represent the average quality of the people...
