My family and I have been shopping here for many years, and it's almost always been a good/great experience shopping here. However, recently I encountered one visit to the store in Junction City, and attempted to ask for help/assistance from a staff member assembling a piece of furniture near the hardware and shop lights area for help. I waa looking for replacement bulbs for a fluorescent light fixture for my father. I tried locating it (if they had any, which they didn't seem to) myself first, but couldn't see any near the light fixtures. The customer service was just rude. Whwn I explained I had looked for, not found any, and thought I just didn't know where to look, the staffer's words were, (and I could tell my question irritated him a lot) "All we have is what we have. Whatever's on the shelf." I said " Okay, and sorry to bother you." No reply from the guy, who ignored me and went right back to assembling his furniture display piece. So I headed out of Bi-Mart for the drive to Jerry's Home Center where I knew they would have many bulbs, and friendlier staff. The woman at the cash register as I exited the store irritated me as well as, she could clearly see I had nothing to purchase as I exited. Still (like a robot) she murmured, " Thank you for shopping at Bi-Mart. Please come again." I've been shopping Bi-Mart much less since. Even though I have to drive a little further to Eugene or Corvallis from Monroe to purchase things I would usually go to Bi-Mart for, the one bad visit there just made me less inclined to frequent there for my needs. Anyway, that's been my experience with Bi-Mart. Most of the other staff have seemed friendly and helpful. But the one rude encounter/employee and robotic cashiers have affected my desire to shop there. Just being honest. Prices and sale items/savings are good sometimes too, but overall less desire to go to Bi-Mart...
Read moreThis place was great today. I went in looking for a certain item and the clerk was at the counter which was nice. She found the item and it was $449. Then she found it was on sale for $399. She also found a rebate for it of $50, so she saved me $100 off the regular price. I was delighted to have saved so much. The sales at Bi-Mart are why I like to go there rather than Walmart. Especially on the big ticket items. A couple of weeks ago I bought a Dyson cordless pet vacuum that originally sold for $399 and Bi-Mart was having a clearance on it for $199. That was below their cost. I just love it. It works great in my camp trailer, which is what I got it for. I also bought a 32" TV with DVD on sale for $129 (reg $169) for my camp trailer. Bi-Mart was the only place I could even find a TV and DVD combo. All the other places you had to buy the TV and then the DVD player separate. And I looked everywhere for a combo because it works so well in my camp trailer. I got it to replace the 15" TV/DVD combo that came with the camp trailer. I have to say Bi-Mart gets 5 stars from me for their great sales and the items they carry that other...
Read moreI was just in the store buying fishing stuff. I'm a mother of 4 and so I'm used to buying alot of fishing stuff . The girls at the sports desk watched me like a hawk . Then I hear over intercom that they are requiring more staff back in sporting goods. Reminder I buy fishing stuff every month usually totalling around $100-$150 each visit. I have never felt so embarrassed I seriously felt targeted by the staff. Whom kept circling me and asking if I needed help . When I went to pay the cashier claim that oh yes you have been in here awhile and I noticed you. I thought to myself wow whats that supposed to mean . Do they dont appreciate my business. Also would they treat me horrible if I brought my 4 children in to help look at fishing stuff too. I'm going to next time and I'm not planning on buying just looking if that's ok. Awful awful embarrassing experience and will never go to this store again. The Thurston store they know me there alot better and are always...
