Mohawk Shopping Center — Local services in Springfield

I go here often as my CrossFit box is located here. It's easy to access but the parking lot is terrible! The asphalt is worn and poorly maintained, especially on the east side of the center. The biggest problem with this shopping center is the lack of traffic control. I navigate it carefully as I've had numerous close encounters with other vehicles and pedestrians.

Hopefully things will get better now that Harbor Freight is anchored here.

Frankly, it's been disappointing to see a shopping center that's so centrally located have such a hard time keeping shops. When I was young and Waremart was here, it acted as an anchor store and all the other small shops seemed to flourish. Now, aside from a couple coffee shops, Bimart and a couple of bars, there's nothing left. That huge building has sat empty and been a. eyesore for too long. it would have been nice to see it being used to improve our community...
