This review is from my experience only but I wasnât impressed by La-Z-Boy.
First, my husband and I have had our custom sectional for about a month now and I was really hoping it would grow on me. However, that just isnât the case. We ordered a Bexley but when ordering the Bexley the sales rep kept referring us to the Meyer because in his words, âthey were almost identicalâ. Yet the Bexley is not deep at all, and with my husband and I being tall I would have preferred a deep couch but it was never mentioned to us unfortunately. (I would have ordered the Meyer if he had warned us the Bexley isnât deep) Overall, we just arenât impressed with the couch for the amount of money we paid. We had gone with La-Z-Boy over boutique stores like PotteryBarn and WestElm because we thought the higher price at La-Z-Boy would insure higher quality but that doesnât seem to be the case. I regret not going to PotteryBarn for a sectional.
Secondly, we got a sectional and decided not to include one of the seats with it because we were afraid it wouldnât be enough room in our living-room. The sales rep had mentioned that if we were to move in the future we could always order that seat no problem. Yet, when I called once we got the sectional and asked the price of the seat (because we were considering going ahead and getting it) he said we should order it sooner than later because they change their fabrics. I was furious about this, because when ordering we were assured we could order the additional seat with no problems, but calling later it felt like he was hoping to make a quick sale.
Overall, the sales rep was nice but I am just impressed with the quality of La-Z-Boy for the price you pay. Usually higher price goes hand-and-hand with quality but not...
Read moreMy husband has always only liked Lazy Boy recliners so for our recent 49 th Anniversary I bought him a remote controlled Leather recliner! We donât have it but it will be ready soon and he is like kid waiting for a new toy!! Our experience at the Lazy Boy Gallery in Springfield Mo. went way better then I thought even tho I was disappointed that we didnât bring his gift home with us that day my Husband, David did find the one he wanted and picked out the material which was leather so he was content! The service was great, Joel the worker there greeted us after we walked, we visited and told him what we were wanting he walked us to the area where the recliners were and directed us to different ones with the options we were looking for. He then let us look around on our own and my husband tried out at least a dozen or more chairs , Joel was very patient and helpful with us and very informative on on all the options the chairs had! My husband found the perfect chair but not the right color which the one in stock would of worked Ok I guess but Joel saved the day and said it could be ordered in the color of leather we wanted and at the same price which satisfied me for color scheme in our home and comfort for my husband! Yes, we will be doing business there again as Iâm wanting new living room furniture now!!...
Read moreIâve been a purchaser of La-z-boy recliners since 2012 in Texas. They used to be the best recliners you could buy and worth the money. This time in 2025 we purchased 2 custom made recliners from this Springfield location online. The recliners listed online that they were made for tall people from 5.9 to 6.1 ft. The chairs get here and my husband who is 6 ft even, canât even lay back in his chair. His head has no support and his feet hang off the end of the chair at his ankles. I contacted the Springfield store that same day. I was told that I would have to pay a 35% restocking fee and the difference in price of the upgrade for the chair. To me, paying any kind of restocking fee was ridiculous! The chair was listed with false information. We should NOT have to pay a restocking fee for a chair that we never would have purchased online if it hadnât stated it was for tall people. Unfortunately this is the LAST time I will ever purchase from La-z-boy. I went out and got 2 - $300 recliners from a local store and theyâve been great. But I spent $900 at La-z-boy for 1 recliner my husband canât even use. Be very wary, all...
