The wife and I walked into mattress firm on independence st in Springfield mo. Decided to purchase a queen size mattress, we were in the process of moving into a new home and wasn't ready to take possession of it quite yet so they said they would hold it for us until we were ready to pick it up. So I called them to tell them we were ready to come get it or pay for them to deliver it, and I was first told by Scott, that the records show that it was already picked up, so he then tells me he will talk to my salesman Michael and see if he can get this straightened out, Michael calls me back and states the mattress is still sitting there with our name on it, I told him ok we'll be there today to pick it up. 10min later Michael calls back and tells me after he did some digging the order had been canceled and they refunded the money, I checked my bank statement and no refund was ever issued, so then I called my card company and verified no credit was ever issued, she tells me the time to file a dispute is almost past, so I call Michael back and tell him, since no credit was ever issued I'd just come and pick up my mattress, and he tells me he can't do that until he get the issue resolved, which would have put me past the time-line for me to file a dispute. Pretty shady business, I will not shop here again, or recommend them.kind of shady my mattress is still there with my name on it but it was canceled on 12/20, and they just did inventory, so what's that tell you? Do not shop here!!! After seeing my review, Michael called me to apologize for the mix up, and really stepped up to correct the issue, this is sighns of good management and a caring business, after this experience I would shop here again and recommend...
Read moreUpon arrival this store was void of customers and only one employee was in rhe store. He greets us and seems nice enough. We tell him what we are looking, and possibly ONLY LOOKING for we need to make sure our payments stay extremely low... Or we wont be able to make a financial commitment. He proceeds to tell hs he will give us a great deal. So we try all these beds and find one that we like that he can give us a great deal on. WONDERFUL! We get down to the nitty gritty of crunching numbers and he isn't able to get our payment low enough so he says, and I quote, "I've wasted a lot of my time with this so I have to get something out of it"... My red flag allert went up. Mind you he now has ALL our personal information. So he gets our payment down to what is still $50-$75 too high and were stressed but half tempted to bite the bullet since he "WASTED SO MUCH TIME". Either way we had to leave to deposite what he'd need us to put down and we get outside and don't feel good about the payments still... so we decide to wait until we are a tad more financially able to make payments. I decide to give him a courtesy call so he doesn'twait for us to come back and while on the phone he proceeds to tell me he knew the second we walked out the door we wernt and as I was apologizing he interrupted me to say, "well I have customers, bye"! We are still in the market for a bed, but not from here! How sorry we are for not wanting to make a semi-perminant financial decision that we were ALREADY on the fence about. Oh and when he first started his sales "shpeal" he let us know he was allready 200% above his quota...
Read moreFelt rushed with our kids in the store for our purchase, made a poor decision on our purchase. Called back after 2 months of horrible sleep to see about making a return to exchange for a different mattress, was told on the phone that it wasn't normal store policy on a clearance mattress but they would make an exception, so we took time out of our Saturday afternoon to go to the store too pick out a different mattress only to find out that they won't do it for us because of $150 difference that was over my credit limit through synchrony Bank. There was also a 20% restocking fee and another $89 delivery fee, so now we feel like we hate our purchase and are stuck with a bed that we absolutely hate all over $150 difference. Wich was a mattress recommended by the the salesman to help give me a better night sleep, not only did his recomendacion suck but we are also stuck with a matress we dont want. The manager told me that mattress firm wants to make sure every customer is happy with their purchase but when it comes down to it they really don't care, because if they did they would have found a way to get me into the mattress that we preferred!
