I enjoy Michaels. I don't often have need to go but when I do I usually find what I'm looking for without hassle. One thing they should definitely stock a bigger selection of is Lorann candy/baking flavorings. They are one of only a few places in town to get it and I wouldn't do business with Hobby Lobby if it was the only game in town. Most of the staff is extremely helpful and friendly...there is one gal in the picture area who seems to get miffed if someone asks her for help but she seems to stay in her backroom enough not to impact too many people in a negative way through the day :) (her favorite response is: "have you looked it up on the app? - if you use the app it will lead you right to it..." which is her way of saying "I'd rather not take time to help you since you can do it yourself in a bit more time than it would take me to point you to it." lol Good customer service would be saying "sure I can help you find that" and then en route to the item tell me about the app and it's benefits...js.

I'm not saying the store apps aren't helpful but I don't use apps for stores. It turns my shopping excursion into a online shopping event which I could have just done from home and gone to pick up my order and I'm never in that much of a hurry to finish my errands.

One of my favorite aspects of Michaels is the checkout...they have some of the most beautiful women in town working...

Giving a 5 star review for Kennedy, but a 1 star for the first woman I spoke with on the phone. I had a bit of a craft emergency as I ran out of transfer tape for a project I HAVE to have done tonight for work, so I called to make sure they had what I needed and was going to send my husband to grab it on his way home from work. First woman put me on hold for maybe 30 seconds and told me they didn’t have it, even though it said online that they had 15 in store. I asked her about a back up option that said they had 8 of in store and she said “I didn’t see that one either. You could just come in tomorrow and see if we have it.” I do understand that online inventory on websites isn’t always correct, so I then asked her if they had any rolls of transfer tape for $10 & she said she’d check then hung up on me.

Called back, Kennedy answered, and I told her I was disconnected but I was looking for a certain transfer tape. I gave her the item # & it didn’t come up. She asked in the back, checked the website, and stayed on the phone with me & assured me that she was going to find it for me because now she was determined, lol! Low & behold, they DID have it in store & Kennedy found it like the rockstar she is and set it at the front desk for my husband to pick up. Thank you for caring about your customers & providing exceptional service, Kennedy! I hope you receive the recognition...
