AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! At least the Springfield, MO. store... Purchased a $6,000 sectional, 2 weeks later internal components started to break and deteriorate. Let it go, figured it wasn't worth the hassle to exchange since the store makes you bring the product to them. 3ish months later, we decided to give them another chance and bought a rocker. Within 10 minutes of using it at home the components underneath were popping and crunching. Gave it a day or so to see if it would work itself out. It got worse! Called the store, they made us bring the chair to them (because correcting THEIR mistakes is the customers responsibility) my husband sat in it at the store and it seemed fine (after 30 seconds of testing) got it home. I sat in it not even 5 minutes and the springs and joint started screeching and popping!! Called the store, asked for a manager because after 3 poor quality products from them I wanted my money back and recliner returned. I was met with attitude and disrespect that I was not willing to accept their efforts to make it right which was to AGAIN bring the poor quality product to them and they would exchange it again. Why would I want a 3rd poor quality item?? They offered a different chair, if there was a different chair that I wanted I would have picked a different one. Not to mention I've already tried 3 pieces from them so why would I want to waste my time on a 4th?! The blame was put on us because I was fed up to the point I wanted out of the product and not want to give them a 4th chance to sell me a poor quality product. The assistant manager put me on hold after I asked her to find a manager that could approve the return as their manager was supposedly out for the next 4 days. The kid who sold me the chair got on the phone instead of a manager. The level of disrespect and arrogance that you get after giving more than enough chances to sell a good product because they don't want to lose money or put the effort in to ACTUALLY making the wrong right is so unacceptable.    Read moreWe are so impressed with the customer service at Sofa City! We went in a few months ago just to see what was available. Brey was super helpful, providing us with information about their furniture brands and features. He let us take our time testing out the different furniture and would come back to check on us periodically to see if we had any questions. He was so nice and helpful, and not at all pushy. We got his name and said we'd be back in a few months when we were ready to buy.
We went back a couple of days ago and asked for Brey. He was tied up at that time, so Ryan helped us while we waited for Brey. Ryan had his work cut out for him â I know I was being super finicky, but he stuck with us, determined to help us find what worked best for us. What fit me best, didn't fit my husband . . . or I didn't like the way something looked or the arms were too low for me. He was so patient, took the time to listen to all my wants, and tried to help us find exactly what we wanted. We had pretty well decided on the loveseat and two recliners we wanted when Brey joined us. He then helped me find a chair for my home office.
All the furniture we purchased was American made and seems to be very high quality. And while I was super finicky, they have such a big selection to choose from, you are bound to find what suits you! Both Ryan and Brey were a pleasure to deal with â I'm sure everyone who works there is great, but I guarantee you won't be disappointed with either Ryan or Brey!

   Read moreThis is my second review. My first review was that this place is great. My opinion has changed. We bought a bedroom set. That they discounted because I wasnât sure I wanted the mirror on the dresser. However they said to take the mirror. That we could use it or not use it. We waited a couple days for our delivery. Set up our furniture late at night. The next morning called soda city because we werenât given the hardware to put the mirror on the dresser. They said they gave it to the delivery guys. That they would find it and call us. We got a text hours later that we could pick it up. We picked it up close to their closing time. Attempted again to put the mirror in the dresser. Wrong hardware. Didnât work. Called again. They acted surprised. Then told us that our set didnât have the hardware. So when we said we didnât want the mirror, they took that opportunity to sell us the set without hardware. However the day before, pretended like everything was fine. And gave us hardware that wouldnât even work. Never said anything about our set not having any. Then proceeded to tell us that the boss was out and wouldnât be back until the next day and would call us then. Point is. They told us different stories. Gave us hardware that didnât fit without telling us the truth. We had to drive over to them to pick up the wrong hardware. Just bad service. Tell the truth the first time.
