I have been hearing lots of great reviews of Bricktown Brewery on the Southside of Springfield. I was at my doctors 🥼 today getting acupuncture and his assistant was raving about the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwhich. Well that was it, right after I left the appointment I headed straight there.
Let me tell you, this is one of the best Fried Chicken Sandwiches I have ever had!!!! Toasty bun, double layer of Fried Chicken lightly honey drizzled (not too much, for you all know how I don’t prefer sweet and savory) with grilled pineapple 🍍 in the middle. It came with a side of honey 🍯 sauce but I didn’t use that. But for all of you sweet toothers (Blake Hughes) you will love the dipping sauce!!! I preferred mine without the pineapple 🍍 so just put it to the side but that is just personal preference. (Yet I love pepperoni 🍕 and pineapple 🍍 pizza........go figure 😂😂) The pineapple was executed well, honey drizzle and grilled, very nice! I also asked for a side of mayo and did the chicken, bun and mayo, perfect combo!!!!! The crunch was perfect, and I suspect they brined the chicken before they fried it. It was perfectly seasoned all the way through. I paired it with a local IPA called Juicy Brewski from Tie & Timber Beer Co.
Seriously everyone, order the meatloaf!!!!! It is so so so good!!!! Definitely the best meatloaf I have ever had to date at a restaurant!!!!
The Mac and Cheese 🧀 was also fantastic and service was over the top!!!! The manager Steven Belden came up to the table and asked how everything was and I couldn’t stop raving about the Sandwich. I told him about how everyone was talking so highly about the Cauliflower Crust Pizza that he made me one to go to try, and it is fantastic as well!!!!
For all of you Vegetarian and even Non Vegetarians you must try that cauliflower crust pizza!!!!! So so so good 😊 You don’t even know it is made from plants 🌱
And everyone has to come out and see Stephanie, she is an over the top server here and has impeccable customer service!!!
I definitely give this establishment 5 stars...
Read moreOh my goodness! Just had my first experience with Bricktown and it was AMAZING! We had Shanna and she gave us the best recommendations!!! We tried the avocado fries (if you like avocados 🥑 please do!) I wasn't sure about the dip, but once I tried it with the fries I was floored! It was nothing like I expected, it was a creamy, well balanced dip for the large basket of avocado fries! My friend and I didn't think it could get better, and the menu had so many different things, I wasn't sure what to get... I ended up getting the black bean burger with sweet potato fries and Shanna suggested getting them topped with the caramel-bacon sauce. I did it 😅 (I never get the extras because I'm so picky!) Wouldn't you know, it was SO fabulous! The sweet, little spicy and so savory explosion happened in my mouth!!! Oh my goodness!!! I'm finishing up the leftovers and writing this because I haven't been able to get it off my mind lol! I put some of the left over avocado dip ony burger and it was the perfect touch. I couldn't have be happier to leave with that but then we got the cherry spritzer (on tap) with a shot of wild berry- SO SO SO GOOD! It was my first drink ever and I think I found my favorite! Shanna went over the top to make us feel welcomed and was SO sweet and personable! She definitely added the perfect amount of fun to the already great food! I can't wait to go back and try the veggie pizza and cheese curds (with the caramel-bacon on the size) and the meat loaf, and the home Mac and cheese and.... Lol will definitely be back! Thank you Shanna for giving a little direction and serving so well. When you have someone that keeps your glasses filled, (without interrupting conversation to do so or you even noticing you need it that's gold!) When you leave feeling like your leaving a friends house because the service smiled and treated you like one, that's extraordinary! I can't wait to visit again, and will be asking for Shanna when I do. Can't wait to see where the Lord takes her, she's a special lady! What an experience!...
Read moreNormally we have a pretty good time here but the wait staff was definitely the downfall of this visit. We were forced to sit in the bar area because they had closed off the dining area. The music was Extremely Loud which they did turn down once we ask them nicely. The waitress was also bartending and seemed more interested in flirting with and chatting with the men at the bar then giving us any attention at our table. She had shaved head with kind of a pompadour comb over if I recall and a tattoo on the back of her neck. This is the second time that we've been there where the waitresses have refuse to write anything down and gotten our orders wrong both times. The first time I ordered a gluten-free pizza and it came out on a regular crust. This time they put in a sausage pizza when it was supposed to be cheese she lied and said that she picked up the wrong one went back to scrape the sausage off through some cheese on top tried to Nuke it and melt it and bring it back and pass it off as a fresh pizza using the excuse that it took so long to grab it from the back because she had to change a keg while she was back there. Cheese wasn't even melted on the pizza like we are idiots that would believe that story. Needless to say she didn't get a tip. She was also slow in getting our drinks and the food or the nachos that we got came out cold because again she was too busy talking to men at the bar. This used to be one of our favorite places to come to but if the service keeps going downhill we probably will not...
