Sky Nails — Local services in St. Cloud

I really appreciated that they were able to fit me in on short notice and that the tech listened to what I wanted initially. I asked for a simple French tip — showed a basic inspo pic with clean, thin white lines. Totally understood the $10 extra for French, no problem. But when the nails were done, the white tips were super thick, almost like chunky white blocks. It honestly wasn’t what I showed or expected.

I politely asked if we could reshape the tips to be skinnier like in my inspo, and instead of just adjusting them, he said it would be another $5. I was confused .. I was literally asking for the correct version of what I had already paid extra for. Why charge more to fix what wasn’t done as requested?

It’s not about the $5, it’s about the principle. If I’m paying extra for a specific design, I expect that design — or at the very least, for corrections to be made without being nickel-and-dimed for simply wanting what was agreed on. I stayed polite, tipped well, and left with decent nails, but the experience just left me feeling a little disappointed and kind of unheard. I really wanted that to be nail home but that left a bad taste in my mouth. Especially not for the price I paid 135 for French tip full set and jelly pink...

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon. Here's my laundry list of issues: Couldn't properly remove previous dip powder. Soaked my nails so many times & for so long that my natural (healthy before they touched them) nails were brittle & unable to be filed without breaking. Was shoving multiple of my fingers (uncomfortably) into a shot glass of acetone & walking away. LITERALLY ripped the entire tip of one nail off & a small chunk of another then laughed & said "oh I'll just fix that". Started application process for Acrylic vs dip & had to be corrected. Not even 6 hrs later the color they applied was already peeling off my nails & coming off in chunks & still wet underneath. 1000000/10 would...

Went yesterday picked out a color and just wanted the French tips with the chosen color... got all the way through and got white tips.. I figured she was putting white on and then putting the light pink I chose over it.. she didn't apologize didn't offer to change it then proceeded to charge me extra.. their board says gel fill is 25 and French tips are 5 and I got charged 10 over that... I've never been so mad. I'm paying this lady to give me what I want. It's very disappointing will not go back. It's about customer service and this place had none.. she just decided by herself my color won't work after I asked her five times if I could do just the tips on the color I chose...
