1/2025: Still a great place for organic foods. Staff is great, but you need to scan in since they are trying to prevent the sharing of membership, which they should do. By the way, membership more than pays for itself if you buy all of your gas there with a 5% rebate!
12/2023: UPDATE: Kraig gets 10*s from me from my recent pickup of my Rexon HAs. He is very thorough and I really appreciate his time. No rush, get it right. Believe me you don't want to pick up hearing aids anywhere else!
Vision Center: 5+*s Also, I picked up glasses at the vision center. Great price, under $250. Everything included, progressive lenses, transitions, UV, scratch resistant, etc. Pick out frames and the rest is easy. The staff there and Manager are great - and they are busy, but I had no problem if it was a little wait.
6*s for the Hearing Aid Center. They are very busy, usually able to accommodate just quick fixes. For a hearing test you'll need an appointment, or to be fitted for hearing aids after purchasing them. The staff is very helpful and nice, all of them. Best warranty (3 yr), return policy (6 months), and good prices too. (
Read moreI am generally a big fan of Costco. I was very excited that they came to St. Cloud and I spend a lot of money there every month. I usually need two carts! This morning, however, the doorman at the entrance was extremely rude about enforcing mask wearing. I was not causing a problem and was socially distant. Two managers came to tell me I must wear a mask. I was willing to have a reasonable conversation, but one of them was extremely rude to say the least and demanded I put on a mask right away or they will cancel my membership. I have not been treated in such a horrible manner in any business since the pandemic began. I sincerely believe that masks are not helping the pandemic. It has turned people against each other out of fear. When does it end? I believe that mandates are government overreach. Costco having its employees take it upon themselves to seriously enforce the mandates in such a manner is unacceptable. I can respectfully shop at almost any other business without trouble. Use common sense. Do masks really stop such a small microscopic virus particle? Do people actually wear a high grade medical mask and wear it properly? Is that the real problem and are enforcing mandates the right solution? Hopefully this is something that changes, but I'm concerned that we could become as bad as Italy, France, or Australia with lockdowns and masking and vaccine passports out of the excuse to manage a virus that is no more than a bad flu. How far does it go?
This is an edit. I searched for my Google review that I posted two years ago and it doesn't show up. Not sure why. Hopefully...
Read moreThis is only in regards to the pharmacy. I had a total knee replacement on 4-8-24. I was prescribed vicodin (four day supply) and vistaril (five day supply) for pain. On 4-11-24 my daughter and son in law went to pick up the refill of vicodin the doctor ordered because I would run out at 3am. They were told by the pharmacy tech that it was three days early, and that I should be taking acetaminophen instead. They were allowed to pay for the prescription because she claimed that insurance wouldn't cover it. The next day I had the doctor approve the refill of the vistaril. It was sent to Costco at 2 pm. At 6:30 I went in to pick it up, I was asked to wait, and after they closed at 7pm, I was told they did not have any supply of the vistaril, not even an emergency amount. The prescription was sent to walgreens and the walgreen pharmacist told me they could not fill it as costco had marked the five day supply as a 10 day supply. Went without for the night. Today my primary called a prescription for vistaril into walmart. It still could not be filled because of costco refusing to change the designation of ten days. The costco pharmacist was rude and unhelpful. Walmart was able to do an override after seeing that the error was...
