Lewis Game Shop — Local services in St. Cloud

There's very little keeping this shop from being a 5 star review.

The manager was extremely friendly. He demonstrated above average knowledge relating to the products in the store. They had a wide variety of figures games cards etc anything collectors could spend lots of time and or money taking in. Fantastic selection of single cards for Magic The Gathering and Pokemon. More sealed product than what I was expecting for TCGs in general.

My only gripe is that they take trade ins at a lower % than what I hoped. Perhaps if a dialogue could be opened with the owner this could be negotiated further. % should be adjustable depending on the product coming in, AND depending on the person/place they are coming from.

I will add that I visited another location that is under the same name, and supposedly same owner. It was a night and day difference between the two locations for how I was treated and how the staff conducted themselves. Additionally if this is the same owner, then he apparently doesn't think im worth taking the time out of his day to speak to, as I left a number at his other location quite some time ago but was never reached out to.

update : I came back to add another note to this. I can not stress enough how much of a difference the interaction with the employees can make at a place of business like this. This store is 10/10 on customer service, and how friendly they are to customers. Additionally I'd like to put emphasis on how awesome the selection of product at this store is. Despite being a smaller location, massive selection of games, figures, cards, sealed product, and all sorts of miscellaneous products relating to a wide assortment of franchises.

I’m seeing a lot of reviews about not trusting this specific store on sealed Pokémon products such as ETBs or booster bundles. Luckily for me, I came in for singles so this was not a concern for me. Person up front (unfortunately forgot to ask for their name) was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for, for my binder challenge which was adding collecting anything Sylveon related. He had binders that seemed to be organized by character, set, and price point!

I had some complications when first attempting to buy a card, I left and came back about 15 minutes later and the man up front didn’t even put the card back into the binder, almost as if he was expecting my return haha! I got a good deal on a single card that was cheaper than what it is retailed as on TCGPlayer! Highly satisfied! I do recommend coming here if you are on a hunt for specific Poke cards to fill up your collection! Out of all the stores locally in town (Lionheart Games, Hi-Score Video Games, and The Fan Zone) this spot had so many options available for me to choose from that the others didn’t. I will definitely be returning back here when on the hunt to add to my collection...

I must point out Robert by name for this. Last night I met someone for a game of Warhammer: 40,000 and he told me they would be closing at 8 due to the closing employee calling in sick. He let us stay 30 minutes late to make sure we got a couple turns each in our game. For that sacrifice of time I thank him. On the card side of things there is a wide selection of cards new and used. For popular tabletops like Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar there is a decent selection although I wish there was more 40k boxes. The paints need better stock but I would let it slide due to size constraints and the amount of competition in Saint Cloud. I've known the owner for a while as I frequented the monticello location when they first opened. He runs his stores very well and the staff are professional and make you feel welcome.
