Updated review: This was our second visit to Tonini Church Supply & Co. Tonini is a very large store that carries several gift items, Rosaries, Sacramental gifts, Statues and Church supplies like the Monstrance and Reliquary.
If you are looking for books, outfits for Baptism or other Sacraments, you will definitely find a wide selection at this store. The staff at the store are very helpful and will order items that you are looking for. The store carries Catholic books in Spanish, including the Spanish Bible (not the Douay Rheims Catholic translation).
We were happy to find that one of the store staff was bilingual, who could speak in both Spanish and English. This is truly an asset to have, since there are many native Spanish speaking Catholics who need guidance when making purchases for spiritual reading, or items to purchase for Catholic events like Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage or a Funeral.
This time around when browsing for books, we noticed that the store mostly carried a mixture of Protestant books and Conciliar (post-Vatican II doctrine) books. This can be very very confusing - check if the book has an imprimatur (only Catholic books have an imprimatur) or ask the store owner if the book is Catholic or not. However, most Conciliar books do not have an imprimatur (not very hard to guess why) and compared to traditional Catholic teachings, Conciliar books are written ambiguously and do not deepen one's faith, and generally sound Protestant. For example, we were shocked to find the heretical Luther's catechism right displayed right next to the post-Vatican II Conciliar catechism (published by USCCB). On the one hand it was not surprising to see this, but on the other hand, it was truly sad to see how far the Conciliar church has strayed away from traditional unchanging Catholic teachings and its effects on lay Catholics.
It was also sad to find that the store's selection of Catholic books (pre-Vatican II doctrine) had dwindled considerably since our previous visit. The store also has a sale selection for books. However all the books on sale were either protestant or Conciliar (post-Vatican II doctrine) books.
The store also carries a few CDs on Gregorian chant, but the remainder is mostly protestant and Conciliar 'worship' music which is not edifying or pleasing to the ears or the soul. Their collection of statues, sacred images, Rosaries, etc. is very good.
The staff was helpful, as before. Checkout was simple and straightforward.

First review: Tonini's is a very large store that carries a variety of Catholic Church supplies, vestments, Catholic gifts and books. The helpful staff will guide you on your purchase. Parking is also easy as the store is situated along other stores in a strip-mall.
The book section is small and decently organized, with several books from Catholic publishers like TAN, Pauline Media, etc. You can even find a few books by Angelus Press like the 1962 Roman Catholic Sunday Missal Booklet, but their selection of pre-Vatican II books can be improved and expanded.
They have several statues of our Lord and His Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, and several Saints. They also carry several traditional Crucifixes of different sizes, Rosary beads, etc. The staff were professional and friendly, checkout was simple and straightforward. Good shopping experience...
Read moreBrought in my wife's grandmothers bible to get binded, as it was so old there was no longer one on it. Very sentimental item with hand written notes throughout it. Was told it would be no issue, just need to fill out the form as to make sure all embossed items on front would be correct. As I returned four weeks later to pick the bible up, I noticed that her Grandmothers name was wrong. Also, the first line of scripture had been pressed probably three times before its was done correctly and you could see their tries above the first line. Looks horrible. I bring this to their attention and am told they can redo it, but will take just as long as the first time. I agree and let them have a do over. Four more weeks later, I returned to pick up the finished product, just to realize that they never did rebind it to fix it, they only glued an embossed sticker over their original mistake. The triple stamped first line of scripture was the exact same and still looks horrible. They also had no issues in charging the full "almost $300.00" for this sloppy work. I will think twice in the future before using this...
Read moreI cannot recommend Tonini due to the difficulties we had during ordering, purchasing and delivering palms. When we initially ordered at the end of February, we received 6 different emails with 6 different invoices. When I contacted them, they informed me that, due to a new computer system, only the shipping was paid so we paid for the palms the first week in March. Two weeks before Palm Sunday, we received another email requesting payment for the palms so they could ship them to us. When I told them we had paid, they could find no record of it, so we paid them again. On the Thursday before Palm Sunday, we had not received the Palms, so I called again. After being on hold for quite a while, I was told they would be shipped out that day and we would receive them the next day. They did arrive on Friday. After checking our credit card statements, they did charge us for the first payment, but fortunately not the...
