We all love this place and come here a lot, especially special occasions and today was one... We always like the atmosphere; it's casual, simple no loud music, just good conversation.…,food is always interesting to great, it's somewhat creative as well. My avocado salad today was just okay, I wish they hadn't have thrown the stale shredded corn chips on top and the stale cold piece of bread with a glob of butter...Yes, The colored shredded corn chips add color but they were stale and it really takes away from the genuine goodness of the salad. The rest of the dishes at our table were well prepared and good to eat as always. Our server was very young, very sweet and polite but our water bottle stayed empty and she was fairly unattentive. This is a management and training problem, typically... I'm a former server, so I appreciate good to great service, a lot. Hopefully she'll learn from the 10% tip I left.... A server needs to stay attentive to tables, clear their plates, fill their water glasses, or at least the water bottle, get them extra napkins, ketchup, etc, upsell - offer a dessert to take home, max out the table $.,. A table shouldn't have to ask for everything; be observant of the table... I'm sure she had no more than three or four tables at her station, and she's got food runners and lots of help and assistance sooo.... Lastly, I had hoped for a custom juice and I was told they were pre-made and that was not possible, anyway, we'll be back sometime, probably go to Wild Eggs or someplace else in the...
Read more07/22/2025 Updated review We tried to place an online order today only to find that their website has changed and we can no longer properly order our food to meet dietary needs. There is no option to separate pork bacon from being packaged with the eggs in the brunch pack. We will no longer be ordering 3 to 4 times a month and will be changing to a different breakfast restaurant. We are sincerely disappointed in these changes. We no longer recommend First Watch for those ordering online who have dietary restrictions.
Previous review: The First watch location on Breckenridge is consistently correct on the To-go orders we place. We have ordered from Highlands,Shelbyville Rd and the Hurstbourne location and always have missing items. Not this location. They always hit the mark for us. We truly appreciate it as it can be frustrating to get home and find itens missing. We order several times a month. We have some dietary restrictions and they package our food perfectly to our request because of the dietary restrictions. The other locations are also good about the dietary restrictions but corectness or the order is lacking in those locations. I wish they would offer Oatmeal and blueberry muffin entree as a to-go option again. I believe it is still on the dine-in menu but not available online. That is one healthy option I miss. I also wish they offered honey or a different jam than strawberry jam. Kudos to the St Matthews First Watch for doing a great job...
Read moreThis review is mostly of their curbside pickup process, it is terrible. I pulled up at the exact time I was supposed to into the curbside pickup spot. There was one other car next to me waiting. The sign identifying the spot as curbside said to "wait in your car" and call this number. I did both. The call went to straight to a voicemail saying the voicemail was full then hung up. I tried calling 10 more times every minute or so and got the same recording every time. The car next to me got there food and drove off, I though they must have seen my car waiting in the curbside spot surely they will bring it out soon, WRONG. 15 minutes has now passed and I am still trying to call, by the 20th call I got through and told them I had been waiting for 20 minutes and was the only car in a curbside spot. They finally brought it out, cold because it had been waiting for 20 minutes and no chorizo in my chikichanga. When I asked the server about why it took so long she said they only have one phone line. If you are going to have this process maybe invest in another phone line. I also don't understand why no one on staff saw my car waiting in that spot for 20 minutes and didn't think to check the curbside orders?!?!? Servers were going back and forth to their outdoor tent the entire time. Any way the curbside system is garbage, don't waste your time on it, and make sure all the ingredients are in the...
