
First time customer. Angela was my stylist. Not a good experience. We agreed to do a center-part with long face-framing layers. When she cut my hair, most of the time my chair was spun to the left so I wasn't facing the mirror and couldn't see the cut. I also don't know how she can see if the two sides are symmetrical or not if her customer is not facing the mirror.
When she blow dried, chair was still not facing the mirror. So I had no idea. I have never had a hair stylist do it this way in my life.
The cut and blow dry were super fast without using any layering hair clips to separate hair for a more detailed cut.
Then she turned me to the mirror and said "what do you think?" I saw a LOT of 2-3 inch long hair stuck on my forehead. I looked like a poofy dog. I pointed at my forehead and said this doesn't look good at all. Instead of finding solutions or making suggestions, she said "well I don't know what to do with "baby hair". Clueless. I had to tell her some gel, maybe side-part but need to do something.
And she is not not a warm person. Doesn't talk unless being talked to. And in the end, I said "thank you Angela" to be polite. She didn't respond.
They charged me $15 extra for "difficult hair". And $15 for curling the hair. Total was $80 plus tax for a minim cut and very rough blow amd curl. My hair was not difficult. It is straight, it is not thick. And she barely cut anything. It's overcharging.
I don't think Angela enjoys her job. She has the "I don't care" attitude. She should be an apprentice for a few years and really observe what a good stylist...

I then was met by Erica , very nice and courteous. Booked for following week with Marcia also very sweet and made me feel very welcome , however the hairdresser working to the left of us seemed like she was bothered by us because we were quite talkative and getting along. (kept rolling her š) I shared with Marcia that I am a hair dresser and salon owner , so i let her do her thing! As I was checking out I purchased products and paid for my hair . The manager and new owner quite friendly and thanked them for being so welcoming! However the same stylist makes her way to the register and as Iām talking I observed her rolling her eyes again!! I thanked them and left . Unfortunately for Marcia when I got home I noticed my cut was not even. I have cancelled my next appointment and will not be returning. I donāt like making noise but because of the two hairdressers at the shop who thought that maybe I should not be there , I will not ! Good money was spent even though I have my own salon ! I support those in my same Industry! I came in for a complimentary consultation with Emily and discussed my inspo pictures & what I wanted. It was agreed that we would do an overall color with highlights. I specified I didnāt want to be super blond but still wanted to leave the salon noticing a difference and to feel the highlights. I came in with dark hair, so I never expected to be exactly what my inspo pics were, but what I asked for was nothing close to what I received.
We mutually agreed to not lift my roots which is fine and Emily did tone some brassiness. But my before picture vs my after picture is barely different aside from the blond in the bangs (which are turning yellow only after 3 days) and very little pieces of ālight.ā Itās just a muddy brown. There is no overall sense of brightness to the color or light enough highlights to really peak through my dark hair. The highlights were supposed to fall between warm blond and cool, but there is barely anything to see. Moreover, how the bangs were cut were completely wrong - faced framed instead of sweeping outwards and were too long.
I paid nearly $550 total for cut & color which is such a shame and disservice. They offered for me to come back to fix it, but they didnāt understand what needed to be changed. Any type of partial refund was denied. Think twice, maybe five times before...
