During my recent visit to Kashi during Stamford's restaurant week, I had an exceptional experience that stood out in every way. The moment we were seated, the service immediately set a high bar. Our server, whose name we regrettably didn't catch, was the highlight of our evening. He was not only remarkably kind but also infused our dining experience with a delightful sense of humor, making our time there truly enjoyable. His impeccable customer service and attention to detail were second to none, and he undoubtedly deserves recognition, if not a promotion, for his extraordinary efforts.
The food was another major highlight of my group’s visit to Kashi. It arrived promptly, which was impressively quick, and the presentation was visually stunning, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. The quality and flavor of the dishes we tried were outstanding, contributing to a memorable dining experience.
Opting to dine at Kashi during restaurant week was part of my broader initiative to explore Stamford more thoroughly, as I often find myself dining in the city. This visit surprised me and exceeded my expectations, as there were other places where I was disappointed. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and the atmosphere has convinced me to add Kashi to my list of favorite restaurants and to recommend it to anyone looking for a top-quality dining or a date night experience...
Read moreI went to Kashi Stamford approximately 5 years ago. We ate outside and really enjoyed the food and drin until we found a hair in it. I chose not to eat at the restaurant for quite a while and about a month ago my husband said let’s go in there and eat. Against my better judgment I went in again to give it a second chance. We ordered cocktails and they were great. We are at appetizers and an entrée. Before we could get through the appetizer, there was a hair in the rock shrimp. In the past, I had eaten in this restaurant many times and I had enjoyed many dishes until the first experience with the hair. When the second incident occurred, we discreetly told the waiter. He was a very pleasant young man, but he apologized and did nothing else .After realizing that the young waiter might not know how to handle the situation we called the female manager over. She apologized and walked back over to the wall where she had been standing for quite a while. After explaining what had occurred, she simply apologized again verbally, brought over a bill for drinks, and came back with a card offering a discount on a next purchase. I definitely believe in second chances but truthfully, why would I go back again? I’m pretty sure that offering a discount for a next visit would never be worth the Poor customer service and very poor management skills. I don’t even think I want a meal for free. This was handled...
Read moreI'm absolutely furious about my experience at Kashi in Stamford tonight. What used to be a decent sushi spot has turned into an overpriced disaster with terrible service and laughably small portions.
We ordered the sushi and sashimi for 2, expecting a quality meal. Instead, we got the tiniest pieces of sashimi I've ever been served - I'm talking microscopic cuts that looked like they came from a child's toy kitchen set. For what we paid, this was insulting.
The service was even worse than the food. Our waiter completely ignored us for 30 minutes while the restaurant was practically empty. I had to get up and walk inside TWICE just to remind them we were still sitting outside waiting. Unacceptable doesn't even begin to cover it.
The sushi quality was subpar at best - clearly not fresh and poorly prepared. After this disappointing disaster of a meal, we ended up splitting an $80 bill that felt like highway robbery.
This place has clearly gone to hell. The staff consists of what appears to be inexperienced kids who spend more time prancing around and wasting time than actually doing their jobs. The management should be ashamed of what this restaurant has become.
Save your money and go literally anywhere else. Kashi used to be decent, but now it's nothing but overpriced garbage with service that makes you question why you bothered leaving your house....
