I was recommended, or more like required, to go Scout from a friend and neighbor who saw the way I was walking. She made me throw out my sneakers and she also threw out some big words to me saying that Chuck could do a kinetic alignment and gate evaluation of me.

I was surprised that such a fashionable shoe and street wear shop would offer this type of service – I was intrigued. I stopped in a couple days later and met Chuck. I instantly got a “good vibes only” read and he went to work to not only evaluate me but explain scientifically what was wrong and why it needed to get fixed up. He didn’t even really try to sell me the shoes – he let them basically sell themselves. I ended up buying 2 pairs – I would have bought more if they had more in my size. I also spent an hour talking to Chuck to understand his story, how he got there, and where he is going next. We had a lot of things in common as synchronicity would have it.

So, I literally went in for a new pair of running shoes and came out with additional knowledge, 2 new pairs of fairly fashionable Hoka sneakers, improved health, and a new friend. No, I'll say this about this place, if you want a nice pair of shoes from an expert shoe salesman who knows how to put a shoe on your foot and how to diagnose anything that's wrong with your posture or your foot. I highly recommend this place. The people there know exactly what the customer wants and cater to the customer's need. They offer their own expertise. Opinion which is greatly appreciated. My experience, there was of a wonderful experience. I went in there with a bad pain in my foot. And the gentleman helped me out and I bought a pair of shoes and I felt so good. My feet having felt so better in a long time. I like to thank this place and I'm going to continue to be a customer there when I go back to Connecticut. Chuck was absolutely a pleasure to work with! His knowledge, genuine care and consideration goes way beyond any customer service experience I’ve had! Originally, I had a wonderful experience at Scouts which led me to purchase a pair of Hokas! But, unfortunately after wearing the shoe twice they left me feeling uncomfortable enough not to wear again. When I called Chuck to explain my situation he was so understanding, and encouraged me to come into the store so we could speak at length. Upon arrival Chuck immediately wanted to make sure I wouldn’t leave until he replaced and found a shoe that met and exceeded my needs, and that they did!
