Mountain Village Services — Local services in Stanley

First of all, this establishment is a gas station and auto shop with a small convenience store...not a hotel, restaurant or mercantile store as mentioned in the other reviews. We woke up to find we had a flat tire, on a day with over 500 miles of driving ahead in desolate locations. Everyone there was helpful. Spud, the local mechanic, was awesome. I have had to come here a couple of times while visiting the area. The mechanics here are really awesome. Very friendly and are really honest and fair with prices. Despite being in a remote location, they offer competing prices that you would find anywhere else. I have always respected them for that. They are also some of the fasts tire fixers you have seen.
