We stayed here mid-August for a friend’s wedding, and it was the most cozy, welcoming place to stay! Most of us stayed in the inn together and the experience was great. The staff were extremely helpful, kind, and made you feel at home. They checked in often to ensure a 10/10 experience. The room was, like others have said, rustic but nicely upgraded. Truly like a cozy log cabin with each room having their own flare. Ours (Room 203 I believe) had an A/C unit that kept it very cool and comfortable! With the temps at night, I’m not sure we would have even needed A/C had we instead opened the windows - that’s how cool outside it would get overnight. The bed, pillows, comforters, and additional blankets for outside to lounge on the deck with were all so comfy! Truly the best bed/pillow quality I have experienced at a hotel/inn accommodation. The common area downstairs was nice and kept very clean, with amenities like a soda fountain, a TV and ample seating/tables. The location was close to so many neat places in their town as well. Everything we needed was nearby and within walking distance! They also had a hot tub outside for use - we personally did not find time to use it but it appeared very clean and well kept! Their outdoor area was very nice, and the balcony was a lovely place to hang out at night or in the early morning. Plenty of parking outside and great upkeep of the landscaping. The water was great, had good pressure and stayed nice and hot for our showers. Room came equipped with a desk area/chair, coffee pot/coffee supplies, mini fridge, TV, nightstands, plenty of outlets, places to hang your things with provided hangers that were awesome quality. They also provided many guides and information within the desk area providing ideas of things to do in the area for fun. They had a super cute guest book that you could also write in. It was really cute going through it and seeing memories written down by strangers that had stayed in the room prior - this gave us ideas of what to do in the area and what specific restaurants/dishes to check out. We plan on visiting Stanley again in the future and would love to...

I love Stanley. We have been coming twice this summer for years and only for one year during covid did we not get to go. This is my first time staying here and it was definitely worth it. My daughter my two dogs and I stayed in one of the cabins which was fantastic it was a corner cabin it had its own kitchen I had my own bed she had her own bed the bathroom was very nice we had a great cabin. My sister and her husband stayed upstairs and my mom and dad stayed in the Haarrah suite. That was an incredible looking sweet not only is there a jetted tub in there but there's an amazing walk-in shower that is absolutely gorgeous. There is also a king size bed a futon a private balcony it was very nice. Now I have to give major kudos to the owner and her daughter they were incredible! I booked three rooms originally right next to each other but on the second floor and then my dog sitter canceled so I was able to switch into the cabin so that my dogs could come. Then I thought about oh no my mom needs Ada because she has two fake hips so I contacted them again and was able to move her room! They had everything ready for us and the whole place was immaculate. I had contacted them and asked that my mom and dad's room be ready by 1:30 even though check in time is at 3:00 because we were only coming for one night due to my daughter's graduation but really wanted them to get to see the Sawtooth and experience Stanley. So rather than having just my mom and dad's room ready at 1:00 they had all three of our rooms ready! So we were able to check in with no early fee and my mom and them were able to just go relax my sister and her husband were able to go hike and I was able to get my fishing stuff ready. I definitely recommend coming here. The towels are very nice and they have a hot tub that you can sign up for which is also very nice and you can sit in that hot tub for up to an hour with a really nice view. The sweet also has an amazing jetted tub in the most beautiful walk-in shower I've ever seen. This is definitely a place you want to stay. We will definitely be back this summer. Thank you so much again...

Come to Stanley every year! We always love our trips up here. It's a home for us with us being locals to idaho. Our stay at High Country was really fun. The customer service was great and our stay was wonderful! First time here for us. We love staying at the Redfish properties. They all always have great services, perks, and great experiences. We will always try to stay at them if they are available.

As for the stay, the rooms were spacious. We stayed in one of the rooms off to the side of the main building. Comfortable stay, you could tell things were cleaned very well. The room we had slept up to 4 and had a full kitchen to it. Made for very nice accommodations. The only thing that I would suggest (which I'm assuming is already in the plans) is to make general renovations or updates to the room. It's simply out dated and several things are worn. The floor near the kitchen has had some types of water damages and sags heavily when stepped on. Redfish owners have been going through renovation projects on the few properties they've owned over the last several years so I'm assuming that stuff like this is on their list so I wouldn't worry about things not changing in the distant future. Also the baseboard heaters in the main room were the worst. Needs maintenance or something. Just made lots of rattle & tapping noises that kept us up half the night. After the 1st night we just turned off the heater so we could rest peacfully. Other than that everything else was great! Always love our...

This is absolutely not a 2 star hotel. I’d say it’s a high grade 3 star. It’s as good as a Marriott. We had the most wonderful, heart warming, toe warming (there’s a wood burning stove!), experience staying at the SHCI! From the moment we walked in, we felt we were at the home of a warm relative, with kitchen provisions available to all, a cozy dining and living common area and comfortable, clean accommodations. The room itself was perfect. The bed had a high quality mattress (were mattress snobs and have a sterns and foster at home!). We stayed in a room with a single king bed and private bath, it was about $170/night. I’d say it was a great value. We slept incredibly well both nights we stayed in Stanley. The location is top notch 👌🏼 we stayed right in the city center, a stone throw from the Stanley Bakery (a MUST try!). Stanley is a little fine food Mecca, which is shocking, because only 63 people (and maybe 177 cows and 55 horses and 3 dogs!). What we loved most was the hot tub, which is available via a sign up sheet. The amenities were lovely. The bathroom was clean. The shower pressure left a little to be desired but the towels were beautifully laundered. We had an issue with our Wi-Fi and the hotel reached out immediately to address it. We were blown away and will definitely be back!

I don't mind staying at a rustic place--it's adds some character. What I do mind is a place that is not well maintained. I'll be sharing a number of photos. Maybe I'm a little more picky, but I like things to look good and work. On opening the door to our room, the smoke alarm was hanging down from the ceiling. Given that in today's environment there are those that bring electronic devices that need charging, I'd expect convenient charging locations. There were no convenient outlets to put into in the room. Many of the wall outlets were so worn out that a plug weren't stay in. One side of the shower curtain rod was not attach tightly to the wall and sagged down--making it hard to not get water on the floor. The same is true with the towel rack. The ceiling fan light didn't work and there looked to be years worth of dust on the top of the blades. The wallpaper trim was torn and ragged. A number of the soda pop dispensers were out of order. Overall, there just needs to be some cleanup and repair work done. The mattress was also super firm and didn't make for a good nights sleep.
