Brought my grandfathers very expensive antique diamond ring that was given to me to get the diamond setting re-welded. I was expected the weld to be smooth and flush with the interior band (as they are always done and I remember this ring being the same). The weld looks messy and I can feel it when I put it on. While I know the weld is on the interior, it shouldn’t look this way. They told me they did it so it doesn’t come apart again but I would expect a good jeweler to make it look the way it should without fear it will come loose again in a day or two. He said he would grind it down but that it will likely come loose again. I just took pictures of the work and sent it to another jeweler and they said the work is unacceptable and quickly done. They also noticed that the diamond is now leaning to one side when it should be centered. I am so upset by this. This jewelry store is absolutely incredible. I was so worried about how to proceed with doing a personal design with my girlfriend’s engagement ring and wedding band and they were helpful the entire process. They were fast and reliable when it came to helping make a CAD diagram of exactly how I described the ring I wanted and when the ring was finally done after a much shorter time than I expected it was so much better than what I could have imagined. Every intricate detail I had asked for was there in this ring and I could not be more excited. Plus Dawn who had been with me through the whole process was joyful and excited with me through it and when it was finally done. When I first took my jewelry in for repair, the young lady was so kind, professional and accommodating. Later she called to tell me the price and how the bead bracelet’s would need to be repaired. Today, Thursday I picked up my items and John was the associate who helped me. Most helpful, kind speaking and professional. The items were not expensive at all but the staff never made me feel any less important or that they couldn’t help me. I’ve known Jaime from his days at the Jewelers Bench.
