Game and Movie Traders — Local services in Stephenville

Recently tried to get a game returned via the 7 day return policy as explained by employee Josh on 07-22-2020. Today is 07-29-2020, and I was told by Josh that the return policy is actually only if the game doesn't work. This was never explained, I was told 7 days, with no attached conditions.

Josh made me wait 20 min, while he cleaned the disc 6 times, before returning it to me without even attempting to test the game, so he didn't even check to see if he could return it, and was extremely rude to me when I objected.

I will be returning on Friday to speak with the owner. I have made a purchase at this shop at least once a week since August 2019, and I am furious at having been treated this way by one of your employees. My partner and I are relatively new to the area and were hoping to find a cute lil game store with a wide selection of games and movies. It had a decent selection for a small town store, however, prices were a bit high for a few things. I'm sure the prices for games are infinitely better than they are at Gamestop but there were a few movies we bought from here that I have bought before that were way cheaper and the conditions of the case and disc were way better. Also the interactions with the staff were a bit bizarre. Our cashier made us a bit uncomfortable and it seems like whoever prices stuff lacks care since most of the products on the sales floor don't have prices on them. Maybe it was just an off week for them but, I doubt we'll be coming back...

Staff is well-informed about their products and quick to help. Their prices are reasonable for the products. Several months ago I asked them if they would stock a new line of miniatures. They investigated and had them in less than a month.

They offer several collectible card game tourneys every week which is great. My son plays Yugioh and sometimes enough players don't show. When that happens De always plays a few games with my son, while sharing tips and advice for his decks, and teaching him sportsmanship and the culture of the CCG community. It's never a waste for us to go. That's great...
