My experience was a door lock that did not work, I checked into the hotel at approximately 2:30am, checked out at approximately 2pm, from a 7 day booking. When I asked front desk about door lock, she replied there was nothing they could do, the locks are not "charged", i replied that not being charged is not my issue, i needed a door lock that worked. I asked her name, upon noticing there were no business cards, and she replied, "What does that matter?" I asked her to speak to a manager or owner of the property, she called someone from her cell phone, I spoke to Peter. I told him what i did for a living and i needed a working door lock, i also informed him, that when someone requests my name, I give it to them because i am a representative of my employer and it is courtioues. Peter informed me he would find one. I heard him call property maintenance to find a room with working door locks. Maintenance then pounded on my door a few minutes after i heard the phone call and i had a man in his approx 30s, shorts pulled far below his waist/baggy, standing not even a foot from me, waiving his hands while he asked " are you the one that wants a room with the lock (very confrontational), and are you really a police officer? I said excuse me, I'm actually going to call police to have this documented, as I was shutting the door he called me a f'n c××t. I packed up while officers were present and they fully understood why I would not feel safe there while on vacation. Then, I had paid in full 315.28, they refunded 213.58, and charged 50.85...so a hotel advertised as a 2 star hotel, at best cost me 152.55 for 12 hours and being verbally assaulted. Not worth a penny to stay here in my opinion, I stayed at LaQuinta right up the street, beautiful, clean, friendly staff, working door locks, no rip off scams, only costed me...
Read moreDo not trust this hotel with your card information! I booked a room for my boyfriend who is working in Texas. I spoke with a woman over the phone who was polite and well mannered. I told her what I needed and we agreed on a price since we were doing a weekly rate. When I reviewed my bank statement days later I was surprised to discover they charged me more than what was agreed upon. I called them back and spoke with someone named Julie. She sounded completely clueless and refused to help me with this dispute. I asked for them to email me a receipt since I am in a different state. Julie agreed. I will have not seen a receipt. Fast forward to the end of the week. My boyfriend decided to check out early due to the conditions of the room (disgusting btw) at this time I received another notification from my bank for a charge of a days rate. I call and speak to Julie again. She explained they were trying to refund me the amount since he was leaving early. I told her I would be talking to my bank in the morning to make sure it was a refund and not a charge. My bank confirmed they charged me instead. I called and told Julie I do not authorize them to use my card any further and that I expect them to fix the issue. Julie told me I didn’t know what I was talking about and that I would just have to deal with it then hung up on me! Mind you I book hotel rooms for my faculty for a living! Now I am in the process of disputing the charges with my bank. And have now had to shut my card down (at Christmas time) due to them having my information and they obviously are not trustworthy. My advice if you are going to stay here which you shouldn’t at least pay with cash! Never give this hotel your card...
Read moreWe stayed in room 201. First impression was not good. Tarps on the roof. Found out from other guests and online reviews that they have been there since late April or early May. The door lock was missing for our room. Dead and live crickets in the room (2nd floor room with no access to outside). Worse than that--killed 2 cockroaches. Evidence of leaks from the ceiling and what looked like mold on the walls where the leaks had been/still are. The carpet was in general dirty in the hallways, stairs and in room. Sticky spot on floor in room. Screen on windows were torn off. The fabric support for the mattress in the fold out couch was missing on the right side by your feet. if you put weight on the mattress you would fall through, which our 3 year old daughter did. The bathroom door did not shut easily unless you put weight into it as it scraped on the floor where the floor boards are warped. Last impressions were no better the next morning. Bath towels had holes in them and were extremely worn. The toilet paper dispenser was loose in the wall. And finally when I used the toilet it almost overflowed when it backed up.
The WIFI was basically non existent and definitely not functional for the room. I called the front desk to make sure I was on the right router. I never could get a good enough signal to use it.
When I checked out the front desk attendant had no empathy or concern for the conditions and started...
