I want to first start out by saying that if you read this and yet still decide to spend your money here at least make sure you do not provide payment through a cash transaction. I came in to browse and see if anything caught my eye. I am a person who impulsively buys things and sometimes doesnât end up actually using them. I know that if I havenât used an item 2-3 weeks after purchase that I do not need nor want them. I took my items & original receipt & had my boyfriend go in and return them since I was not able to visit the store. I provided him my debit card, my ID in order for him to not have any trouble doing the return. He called me to inform me that they could not process the return because that day they did not have enough cash in their store to return my money. My options were to 1. Either come back later that day around 4-5pm (he had arrived as soon as they opened) or 2. To come back during the weekend. The problem with that is that both my partner & I do not live in the state of VA where it was purchased & since this location is A FRANCHISE it must be returned to the store where it was originally bought. I left the items, receipt and ID with my family friend who lives nearby for him to visit the store later on that week. He was also turned away because they did not believe the debit card was mine even though I had the bank I use call the store and confirm that it was. I decided to call customer service and they informed me that usually smaller stores only have $150 in the registers to start. My purchase was paid with cash for a total of $240. However that was very hard to believe as I have worked retail and even stores who probably never make as much money as this company does carried more in their registers to start and end the sales day. I decided to contact the next pandora in the area and the employee told me that they might be refusing my return on purpose. She informed me that Pandora is commission based and the employees probably didnât want to have a return in their name. That was much more credible. So finally I left work early to go return the items and I had a 30 min argument with the manager on duty because she was trying to tell me that even though I came back on the weekend that they still didnât have enough cash to refund me so I would have to settle for a merchandise card! To say I was furious is truly an understatement. I ended up having to do an exchange of over $100 and yet they still threw a fit for having to return MY MONEY the same way I spent it. (Cash) the manager also threw herself under the bus by stating that the store starts out with $300 in the morning versus the $150 I was told by customer service rep.& That whole time they just didnât want to refund me but covered it up by saying they didnât have the cash. So long story short they refused my return multiple times and made false excuses as to why they couldnât take it back. The fact that the manager stated they only had $50 in cash in the entire store but somehow pulled out $100 dollar bills out of the drawer was just baffling. I was within the 30 days, I had original form of payment and items were new and unworn. Worst experience Iâve had with retail by far. Do not shop at...
Read moreI purchased my first Pandora bracelet and charms on Black Friday from the Fair Oaks Mall store. I had a great shopping experience. I was excited to expand my charm collection. I went to the Pandora store at Dulles Town Center on December 27th. What a disappointing experience! The staff was inattentive and rude. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes to be acknowledged, I finally asked one of the salesperson standing around if she could show me some charms. She seemed...disinterested, to say the least. I was told to come around to the other side of the counter, which was crowded, to see the charms. I complied, but there was no room to get to the counter from this side. I had to reach over other customers to let my salesperson know which 3 charms I wanted see. At this point, another salesperson came over, no introduction, no apology for the wait, nothing ... just interjected themself into the conversation to say they were not allowed to show more than one charm at a time, as this is the Pandora Store Policy. I told this salesperson I had witnessed other customers being shown the entire charm tray earlier today (multiple times) at this location and when i purchased my bracelet at the Fair Oaks store they too pulled the entire tray to show me and other customers multiple charms at a time. I was told the Dulles Store is a "Franchise Store" and the owner would "fire the employee" if they showed more than one charm at this location while the Fair Oaks store is a corporate run store so they operate under different rules. As a customer, I don't care if I am at a corporate store or franchise. It should not matter! The customer experience at any Pandora location should be a good one, period! I left the store frustrated. What a waste of time! I ended up purchasing 4 charms online. Receipts below. I will never go back to the Dulles Town Center Pandora store. They lost out on a $240 sale and future purchases from...
Read moreFIRE THE STORE MANAGER! On 12/16/2018 around 1:10 pm, I went to the Pandora in Dulles Town Center Mall to purchase a Medium Sapphire Crystal Glass & Clear CZ Lockett Necklace. The nice, customer service oriented young lady was able to kindly assist me with the exact necklace I was looking to purchase. Empathizing that she was terribly sorry that the necklace I desired was not in stock, she kindly asked if I was interested in ordering. As we proceeded to the register, she began requesting assistance from her Sales Associate on ordering merchandise that isnât in the store. FINE WITH ME! She seemed fairly new but was very friendly and knowledgeable with taste as far as selecting jewelry and I was completely patient while she learned the Pandora merchandise ordering process. The store manager rudely comes up to her while the order was being processed and told her to assist other customers in the store, but yet the store manager was already on the floor assisting customers along with two other sales associates! Overall, it led me working with another sales associate who wasnât overly familiar with what I wanted to order so the entire process had to start all over. She was kind as well and was able to assist me but the vibe I captured from the store manager was that I was an âin and outâ customer. In lack or better terms, âsell him something and get him out!â
For those that shop at the Pandora in this location, ONLY WORK WITH THE SALES ASSOCIATES! They are kind, friendly and make you feel comfortable about your purchase. However the manager needs to reattend some leadership training.
Thank you Sales Associates that worked with me to order the beautiful jewelry for my wife! As for your boss, she could takes some...
