Very disappointed with this store. I have been going here for about a year now and never experienced bad customer service like I did tonight.
First, I was asked to leave the self checkout lane at 8PM on a Sunday night. I had about 30 items, and you can’t use the self checkout if you have more than 20 items now. I have never been told this out of the 300 times I have shopped here in a Sunday. I usually wouldn’t care, but it was not busy at all. The lady who asked me to leave was extremely rude with attitude so I left the self checkout because I didn’t want to argue. I understand if the store was busy I can be reasonable, but it was 8PM on a Sunday night and no line at the self checkout. Horrible customer service period.
The experience continues at the regular checkout lane. I am within my wife and we wanted to buy a 12 pack of beer. We were told we need both our driver license to sell us beer or any alcohol. As I have said before I have been to this store 300+ times and never have been asked for both our drivers license. I get it, but my wife and I don’t look like we’re below the age of 21 as much as we wished we did. The bad part about it is the woman checking us out had the worst attitude towards my wife because she didn’t bring in her drivers license. If you can’t sell it to us you don’t have to have a tone or be condescending because we didn’t have her drivers license.
After both these experiences I had to tell the manager. The policy I could not care about, but the attitude and customer service was horrible. The managers name was Mike. We told Mike about this and he could care less. He was just as rude as the other two lady employees. He didn’t get that we weren’t complaining about Wegmans policies, but about the customer service we recieved.
I am honestly shocked by our experience tonight. We will not be going back to this store. I would avoid shopping here on Sunday nights. Grocery shopping shouldn’t be made hard, but these employees here make the...
Read moreUpdating my review for a terrible visit to the pharmacy on 1/30/2018.
My daughter was diagnosed with the flu and we were warned by her pediatrician that Tamiflu is low on supply in the area. I always go to Wegmans so off I went to see if they had any. I walk in this day and the woman behind the drop off counter was working on the computer. I waited until she was ready to greet me. When she looked up, I stepped up to the counter and asked her if she had "this in stock". I showed her the prescription from the pediatrician. She scoffed and said, "Yea right." I was taken a back by her response, so I said, "Ok?" Really unsure what to do because she went back to her computer typing away. Still standing there I said, "Ok I'll check somewhere else." Her response, "Good luck with that." I kid you not.
Little did she know my 8 year old daughter is sitting in the waiting room with 102 degree fever, patiently waiting for me to get her medicine that will help her feel better.
After this happened, I sat with my daughter in the waiting room and made one phone call to the CVS in the Target across the street. Their pharmacist was so nice and helpful to tell me they had just enough left in stock for one more prescription. I was able to jump over there and get the medicine my daughter needed.
How difficult would it have been for her to check her database to see if any medicine was in stock in any other Wegmans? I would have driven anywhere else to get it. Show some compassion.
This review should be a one star. However, I know the entire Wegmans store and it's employees who bust their butts every day to ensure their customers have a good experience, are not to blame for this rude pharmacist. Unfortunately I am moving my prescriptions out of this pharmacy because of...
Read moreDo NOT order delivery from this store. I placed an order for my son’s birthday party at a location 5 minutes away from this store and I opted to use their delivery service. I did not know that they outsource their deliveries to DoorDash. I only found that out the morning I called to confirm my order. Once I heard that I began to worry. And for good reason. I got a call from DoorDash when my order was picked up from Wegman’s asking for the address which I already provided in their Meals to Go website. Once I confirmed they assured me that they had the address and would call me back when my order was close by. 20 minutes later and no food arrived at my party. I then called this store only to be told that the delivery person brought the food back to Wegman’s and they had to find someone else to deliver it! This is now 30 minutes past the original time of delivery and I had hungry party guests waiting for dinner with no food. I then had to leave my party to go pick up my order myself and all they offered me was a refund for the delivery and free pizza! My entire order should’ve been free! Not only was it late but it was also cold! The tenders were super salty as well. Wegmans tried to tell me that it wasn’t their fault, it was DoorDash’s fault. My response to that is if you say you provide delivery you better back up your service. I don’t care who you outsource it to! That’s your problem not mine. I ordered it in the Meals to Go website using the address the site pre-filled for my party venue. I never use DoorDash in my daily life because stuff like this always happens. Had I known they use DoorDash I never would have placed my $300 food order here....
