The food is banging for sure and that what counts to me since we order out 9 out of 10. Service is ok but ain’t feeling any vibe in the place at all. It definitely needs a personal touch, some history. Or “fan club” style, really just anything. It’s a great concept and the food is really good and if the atmosphere would be more welcoming, not so distanced and cold , a bit warmer is enjoyable to all. We would prolly check in more often too. If u put a story behind it, that will shape its personality and atmosphere which is a great sales pitch and definitely would bring more people to dine in. I would also decide on music because playing all types of music, idk … i just wasn’t impressed listening Cher after vibing with the Amigos. I don’t think a mixed music is an advantage for your business but again this is solo my opinion. However I have 20+ yrs in my pocket in restaurant/sales, while I’m a customer of many also. However if you end up in here, do not pass on shirt & grits. They are my most favorite and the Cajun pasta. Well the biscuit and the sweet potato waffle also phenomenal and they made a great Bloody Mary but I missed the olive. You should consider it, it’s like a tradition for Bloody peoples. I hope you guys will be around for a long time, we desperately need more of something tasty like your menu, because the richest county of the United States has not much to offer to eat. Might be the richest county but hardly ever reflecting the quality of anything. Well now your menu is something that fit in the rich county picture. Rich in flavor and very tasty with good texture and temperature. Prices not cheap but affordable and considering the flavor , portion and quality of the food , prices in fact are very fair. If you debating if you should go or should you not, DEFINITELY GOOOO!!!! You will be happy you did!!
9 months later the spot still Fly as F. just stopped by 2 days ago for a pick up, everything was amazing as usual. these peoples know flavor!!!! nothing to eat in this county that i actually want to eat but here. Lol. Pls don’t ever leave...
Read moreMy first experience, I wasn’t greeted upon entry and didn’t know whether to seat self or wait and saw a sign saying wait to be seated. A representative finally came and said seat for 2 and walked off to A table with no smile or greeting. I ordered the honey glazed old bay with biscoff. I was trying to order additionally the crab and okra soup and was initially told they are out of rice and I can just get the soup with no rice at the same price. The representative went to check and came back and said yes they have rice now so I can order it. Next we received the food which came out wrong and they didn’t know which wings were placed on which plate, and had to go prepare it again. We weren’t provided utensils and had to ask for some. Eventually I asked for a manager after being brought out a set of wings with a cold waffle that appeared to be the original one made and told to use the side of lemon pepper and honey glaze to sprinkle it on my wings and to roll my chicken in the syrup (glaze) in order to get the honey glazed old bay. No ma’am I’m not doing that, that’s not what I’m paying for to make my own meal. The manager came out and explained that should not go like that and took the meals and went to prepare them correctly. An additional manager came and provided apologies and issued us 10% discount cards and brought out a fresh meal that looked and tasted great. The manager was able to fix the imperfections and finally got a set of utensils. I appreciate the correction to the order and was satisfied. The manager was exceptionally understanding and cooperative and rectified my first time experience. The okra soup was great shrimp and a few crab shells but was good. I can’t say I would go again but it’s a nice place to stop by in the Fort Lee area. Although things were rectified eventually I hope this experience is not the same for someone else but they do great at correcting the issues and providing hot food that was great. Beautiful presentation of the food and atmosphere is...
Read moreFirst, let me start off by saying the food is very delicious! The Rum Chata French toast is truly out of this world, probably the best French toast I’ve ever had. I’ve been to this location two times, and the food is consistent. The catfish is fried perfectly and the shrimp and grits are amazing and perfectly seasoned.
However, with that being said, the service side needs work. Most recently, I dined at the Ashburn/Dulles location on Sunday June 11, 2023. I called around 9:50am to be added to the call ahead waitlist, and the host answered and stated because it was so early, they weren’t doing a waitlist yet, and that there would be no problem with them finding a table for me when I arrived.
20 minutes later, I arrived to the restaurant and it was packed. I walked to the front desk and they stated it was going to be a 30-35 minute wait. Of course, I was annoyed but was understanding. This is why I called before arriving to begin with.
When my wife and I were finally seated, we sat at our table for nearly 20-25 minutes before our server took our orders. The food took roughly 30 minutes to come out, and I ordered a drip coffee that took about 15 minutes to come to our table.
This restaurant could EASILY be a 4-5 star restaurant. Sadly, from our experience, the service side is lacking immensely from the kitchen staff. The kitchen staff is amazing and you can tell from the dishes they put out that they value their work and appreciate the food.
Again, this is my experience and I’m sure others have a vastly different opinion than I do. This is constructive criticism and in no means is it meant to put down this establishment. Everyone should ABSOLUTELY try this restaurant, like stated earlier and I can’t say it enough, they food is VERY good. BUT, as of right now, I’d order take out.
June, 19 EDIT: Five days have passed since emailing the management team that was provided by the owner. I have yet to receive an email back. That email address may not...
