I don’t know why some of the employees working at this location are so rude, aggressive, and condescending. I understand that there are many new complications brought on due to the Covid situation, but that is no excuse for their horrible attitudes, and lack of any acceptable customer service skills. Apparently, they want you to wait in line to figure out if you are in the correct line to receive the service you need. They actually refuse to answer the question “Am I in the right line if I am here to get tabs?”. Each time I attempted to ask, my question was cut off with “You need to wait in line!”. It is unbelievable how they talk to people who are customers, treated more like inmates at some jail. The stereotype of the people who work at the DMV, being horrible human beings, exists for a reason. There are some decent and helpful people working there, but there are also some that don’t even deserve a job, anywhere. The management needs to pay better attention, and fire some of the “bad apples” who are mistreating customers. It is sad that there are people working there who get away with abusing someone who is just trying to get their requirements taken care of. I intend on calling the manager of that place and discussing this unbelievable situation. I will look for another location to go to, so I can avoid this place. A longer drive is worth being treated with some respect...

Stopped on three separate occasions to try and renew my license, different times and days and there is always a line out the door. Which is impressive since there is lengthy waiting space inside. Only seem to get through a couple people in half an hour the times I was able to stick around and wait an hour before needing to bail to make it to other appointments. I understand paperwork takes time, but they really need to beef up the available staff during the busy hours. Which seem to be every time I stopped; early weekend mornings, weekdays around lunch, and post 3pm.

I know the DMV is one of the last places we humans want to go to in order to get tabs, renew license, etc. I went today, March 28th 2024 and had an incredibly pleasant and speedy experience. I grabbed a renewal form and my ticket number. As soon as I got to the standing table to fill out my form, my number was called! Got to the counter and the female employee serving me was very kind and upbeat. I have gone to this location since I got my license in 2014. The whole licensing center room is spacious and clean and has plenty of seating for people to wait. Can’t say the same for White Bear Lake DMV, as they have zero seating and long wait lines. I’ll always go to this location. Great job, Washington County. This is how it should...
