Indigo Bleu — Local services in Stonington

I hate writing bad reviews but very upset with this one. I bought a purse here on August 4th and it was on clearance but a cute purse. I brought it back to the hotel and used it that night for a dinner that was an hour long. During that time all of the black from the purse shredded off. I brought it back the next morning with a receipt and the saleswoman (Marie) could not help me cause the owner was not there. I understood and left the purse, my receipt and explained I was leaving. She called me to tell me the owner would only give my store credit which I couldn’t pick up bc I already left to continue my vacation and they have no website to purchase items. I’m sorry but this is unacceptable. I understand the store can not do returns but as an owner who I believe her name is Nancy. She should try to work it out with the customer and offer some type of usable refund. I have friends that are going to Stonington soon and told them to avoid this store. Enthusiastic, helpful staff, adorable store with hundreds of really unique clothing. wanted an additional shirt that I purchased, and called and they were willing to ship it to me, since I went while vacationing. The staff was friendly and helpful, got very excited and would help you find things that you would like. there were only two fitting rooms, which was the only drawback. saw people wearing their clothes on a ferry ride, so it was a popular store. the locals love it too. its in the cutest little town, and was the best store there. the other stores had unhelpful staff....

Had a wonderful time supporting this local shop on Mother’s Day this year. My mom and I both found clothes we loved and the shop owner and clerk were so helpful and friendly. They have jewelry, accessories and such a wide variety of styles of clothing and many of the styles travel well and don’t need to be ironed which is always a plus in my book!
