We were at the mill for another reason, but the divine aromas had us follow our noses to this treasure! Decided we had to try it, and it is now at the top of our favorite lunch spots in the area. Seriously- some of the best sandwiches we have ever had! I tried the veggie the first time, and it was fantastic! It was packed with so much flavor and texture- between the pickled and roasted veggies, fresh greens, goat cheese, crunchy potato sticks, and sauce- all made right there with fresh ingredients. And the bread! I have to eat gluten-free, and they have a house-made gluten free focaccia that they can build their sandwiches on that I wouldn’t know is missing the gluten. My gluten-eating kid raved about it in one of their breakfast sandwiches, too, but they’ve also raved about the basil bread and bao bread also available for gluten-eaters. We have tried various sandwiches and empanadas at this point, and all have been wonderful. And don’t miss their lemonade- it is the best, made with fresh mint and not overly sweet. The staff and chefs there are friendly and very accommodating for dietary needs. And the prices are extremely reasonable… sandwiches and empanadas were between $7 and $12, and the lemonade is I think less than $2. We since talked to a number of people who have establishments throughout the mill, and all raved about the food here. That says a lot. If you are in the area, I...

Sounds fade out, thoughts quiet and all your attention turns to having your next bite. It is entirely subconscious. Almost primal. Yet it doesn’t happen often. I can count on one hand when this sensation of food bliss has washed over me. Masa’s Cuban Sandwich somehow flipped that switch for me.. I know that this review sounds quite hyperbolic, and I don’t want to overhype a sandwich. But at least once, they made a sandwich that was so good I felt like I was on an astral plane for a moment. I hope that it will...

The eggs and peppers breakfast sandwich called my name all week and was even better than I remembered. Incredibly flavorful. I couldn't stop audibly making "mmmmm" noises while enjoying. I've gotten the tapioca bread every time, warm and cheesy and so unique. Can't wait to try to the 3 empanadas I took home for dinner tomorrow.
The staff are kind and enthusiastic about their food. Let's keep this place thriving! For those unfamiliar with the Velvet Mill, it's a fun place to explore with great food options. Just make sure you leave...
